Don't go there in the hot season!
If you want to sweat in the room, that's the place for you! No air conditioning, no way to cool down the room other than keeping the window open - but as the hotel is in the pedestrian downtown area, there is noise until late!

Staff very friendly, room a bit dated and few outlets for charging. Breakfast was well done a delicious. Main restaurant was a steakhouse which looked good, but we didn’t try. Sound of church bells ringing throughout the night got in the way of a good sleep.

Good stay overall . AC is seasonal . Due to construction in the area and pub close by , could hear a lot of background sound during the day and evening .

We took this place because of the price and a few good reviews. Breakfast selection was very limited. Rooms were small and staff not too friendly. Restaurants right outside so it can get noisy. Very convenient to transportation trams and trains. Nice location.

to expensive for what it is
we found the rooms very old & tatty , not very nice hotel . The restaurant was outstanding but that is it the rest of the hotel was poor.

Nice area, easily walkable to the train station. About the hotel, it is true about the check-in. There is no dedicated reception. To check-in and out you have to enter through the restaurant. Once they give you a key card you have to enter and exit through the back of the building. The room was good temperature but a bit small. It is quite loud outside but if you have the windows closed you can barely hear anything. Lots of bars around and restaurants. So at night it gets really busy and loud. The only thing i could say is they could do better with the breakfast options.

Room was tiny but very clean and not outdated. Was loud in the evening being over a steak house and next to a bar but didn’t go too late. Easy check in and check out and was walkable to things.

We felt our stay was comfortable. Quaint hotel above the restuarant . It was Clean and sufficient enough for our one night stay. We arrived earlier than check- in time but. We're nice enough to hold our bags. The breakfast was nicely prepared. Great location for near the train station and walk about shops and food choices.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, the location is amazing. 5 minutes from the main station and walkable to everything you want in Zurich. The staff are fantastic. The (included) breakfast buffet is delicious and varied. And although there is a bar opposite, the building is so well wound proofed that with the windows closed you hear nothing!

The location in Old Town is great. The rooms were clean and maintained. I lowered my rating due to the abruptness of the man serving coffee at breakfast. The first morning he got into such a loud yelling match with a gentleman it had everyone in the dining room quiet. When he came and started serving coffee again he was clearly not over it and was slamming dishes and silverware. He would gruffly serve coffee. We thought it was just a bad morning. But everyone in the dining room was clearly uncomfortable. The next morning although not screaming with anyone, he was gruff again and clearly perturbed when I asked for a 2nd cup of coffee. I hate to write a review like this as the hotel was great for being in old town Zürich.

Hotel Old Town is situated in a very convenient area close to the central railway station, buses and trams so it’s easy to explore different parts of Zurich and beyond. Although the hotel is located in a busy street in the Old Town, the rooms are very quiet, even those overlooking the main street. Check in is in the steakhouse restaurant situated below the accommodation, but it is quick and easy. Breakfast was included, and although basic (could do with a bit more fruit) it was an adequate meal (eggs, cheese, meats, muesli, corn flakes, fruit, some salad, plain and flavoured yoghurt, bread, jams, coffee and tea). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was of a good size and very comfortable. Would recommend to those looking for a reasonable priced hotel in Zurich that is close to everything and has all the basics.

The place was very clean and well kept. Staff was very nice. Access is quite different and elevator was only big enough for two people, two backpacks. Rooms are very small, but extremely clean with little room to open your luggage. Wifi and tv didn't work for us. We tried multiple times. Breakfast was pretty good.

Hotel Old Town is conveniently located in Zurich to explore the central city and points beyond. Close to the train station to allow travel outside the city. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Wir waren einen Tag im Hotel Old Town. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage und ist gut vom Bahnhof aus zu Fuß erreichbar. Etwas komisch war es, dass man, um in das Hotel zu gelangen, an einer Hintertür klingeln musste, um dann doch ins Restaurant zu kommen, in dem man dann die Schlüsselkarte erhalten hat. Das Frühstück war eher spärlich... also für Leute die Wert auf viel Auswahl legen ist es eher nicht zu empfehlen - für uns hat es gepasst. Das Restaurant im EG war top zum Abendessen. Das Zimmer ist war eher altmodisch eingerichtet, aber dafür top sauber und geräumig.

Everything was amazing
Everything was amazing, including location. I was happy with the price. They were able to give me early check-in and kindly brought our luggage to the room. The continental breakfast was fresh and delicious. We stayed on a, Saturday night and there was a street party in that very vibrant neighbourhood. The sound was contained by doors and windows and i slept like a log.

Nice place-Enjoyed our stay
Nice quaint hotel with check-in at the steakhouse restaurant on-site rather than a front desk. Very clean, we enjoyed the comfy bed and close proximity to everything. For Americans used to icy drinks, there are no bags to be bought at local stores. The bar/restaurant on property gave us a glass of cubes to help us chill our drinks in the unusually hot weather there. Would recommend....
