“When pulling out the sofa bed a sheet was found with feces on it, we were disgusted. They brought us new sheets and were apologetic. But that is a health violation in my mind, and we wondered what else we would find. The hotel is quiet and has a really nice outdoor area for relaxing. Breakfast was really good!”

“We stayed in the Loom House, not until we arrived did we know we were to occupy the oldest habitable log home in NC. While the bed was comfortable, the small fridge was iced up and smelled of old food. There was no TV. There were nail heads sticking up out of the floor upstairs and the floor creaked loudly every time we got out of bed to walk to the bathroom. “Trovo che le foto per questo motel siano forvianti. Sicuramente i lodge saranno bellissimi come nelle foto ma la parte motel è desolante. Al momento della prenotazione non si capisce che la struttura è divisa in 2 (lodge e motel) e la parte motel è squallida e su una strada molto trafficata. Il bagno era pulito ma nell'angolo della stanza c'era una grande ragnatela con tanto di ospite peloso e nero. Lenzuola e assciugameni puzzolenti. Mi sono sempre trovata molto bene con Hotels.com ma in questo...

“We took our dog to get away from fireworks and this was the perfect place in the mountains. Walk to river to tube or wade. Two wonderful state parks nearby. Lots of hiking trails nearby as well and River House is a wonderful base for numerous outdoor activities. Just a wonderful place to relax. A five star place. Breakfast was wonderful and while we did not eat dinner. food smelled delicious. Nice small bar to get a great cocktail.”

“PROS: Friendly staff. The rooms were very clean. Bathroom was spotless. Amazing breakfast! A convenient two-minute drive to App State! CONS: The tiniest parking spaces I've ever seen at a hotel. Ridiculously narrow and short! A contractor's truck was sticking way out into one of the traffic aisle entrances and everyone had to maneuver around it. Might suggest contractor's staying overnight with large vehicles park at the end of the parking lot to avoid any future mishaps or accidents.”
