“Wonderful hotel with a railroad theme”

“Clean and good breakfast. A/C worked as expected. Lacked storage-hooks to hang coats but no closet. No separate place for suit case. Limited vanity space. Because of storms in the area, tv was in and out on reception. There appeared to be options for streaming on the TV but was unable to get them operational.”

“It is an older property needing a lot of repair. The staff was accommodating when we had issues with two of the rooms we were offered.”

“My general impression is that the owners have decided to get what they can out of the property without doing any maintenance until it finally folds. The bathroom in the lobby smells like an overused outhouse after a hot summer. Check-in extremely slow. Pool closed as it is broken, same with hot tub. The breakfast consists of an orange or old banana, oatmeal from a package, or a stale wrapped donut or bagel. You have to hold the handle down on the commode for 10 seconds to get even a single...

“I did not feel safe rooming alone. The guy at the front desk was nice, but the overall vibe of the place was spooky. Do not come here if you are expecting cleanliness or comfort.”
