Lovely 1920s building, helpful staff, attractive bar, good location for many sites and on a number of bus routes (Canberra is not a very pedestrian-friendly city). Only quibble would be that, as one of the, possibly the, leading hotel(s) in the Commonwealth capital, a wider selection of Australian wines, and notably some from the smaller wine regions (for example, Beechworth, VIC) could be available.”

Soon after arrival there was loud drilling next door as they did repairs, then a strange man knocked on the door because he wanted to check our toilet for "stickers." The mattress was very firm. Did not sleep very well the first few nights. The grout between a lot of the tiles in the shower cubicle was riddled with black mould.
