“Great stay ”

“Best hotel we've stayed in in Australia. Lovely 1920s building, helpful staff, attractive bar, good location for many sites and on a number of bus routes (Canberra is not a very pedestrian-friendly city). Only quibble would be that, as one of the, possibly the, leading hotel(s) in the Commonwealth capital, a wider selection of Australian wines, and notably some from the smaller wine regions (for example, Beechworth, VIC) could be available.”

“Love that our car was right outside our room. Staff accommodated a late checkout and were very friendly. Facilities had everything we required. Would definitely stay there again.”

“Positives: Very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of onsite parking. Negatives: Had to go up and down the outside stairs in the pouring rain to take my luggage up to the room from my car. Got quite wet. The mattress was very firm. Did not sleep very well the first few nights. The grout between a lot of the tiles in the shower cubicle was riddled with black mould. A good dose of bleach or domestos was definitely needed. The carpet is in need of a clean. There were many dirty patches and spots from...

“Overall, very nice only slight downside is that you cannot get to the parking on L3 directly from the hotel despite there being a button, but it is reserved for staff only? But the room was a generous size and well laid out and very nice inside. So overall a pretty decent hotel.”

“Arrived late and received a courtesy call from staff advising of parking options and entry instructions which were easy and efficient. Easy stroll to restaurants and supermarket for dinner and snacks. Pool looked so inviting, sad we didn’t bring our togs. Room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. We were just passing through, a shame we couldn’t stay. ”

“Why is there no lights or floating pontoon as in Wyangala Dam Park at the boat ramp.”
