“Exceptional is probably the word I’m looking for (I’m honestly surprised it’s not rated 5x). A beautiful boutique hotel — much prettier and posher than the photos suggest. The pictures don’t do it justice. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms are cosy and thoughtfully designed, and the gardens and pool are simply stunning. Breakfast is superb — generous, high-quality, and beautifully presented. Honestly, I’m struggling to find a single fault. ”

“Das Hotel liegt malerisch gelegen und ist wirklich ein Traum. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und sauber. Der Service war gut, aber nicht aussergewöhnlich aufmerksam. Der Spa war schön, aber man hat nur eine Stunde gratis Aufenthalt pro Tag als Gast. Das ist jedoch vollkommen genügend. Das Restaurant war sehr lecker und man bot mir sogar vegetarische Alternativen an. Sehr großes Lob! ”

“The hotel is just in front of the pedestrian area. Parking is not easy on-site, but there are free big parking lots at 4 min by foot. The rooms are not big but cosy, very clean and functional. “We had the most delicious lunch at Ro Bo, the hotel's restaurant which is on a par with a Michelin-starred establishment. The hotel manager was very friendly and gave us lots of great recommendations for things to do during our stay, including visiting the nearby Lascaux Caves. Our room was beautiful and quiet, and the air conditioning was perfectly set, which was great for catching up on sleep. We would come back here in a heartbeat!”

“Wonderful time away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Domme is a gem. The hotel was perfect to make your own breakfast, lunch, and dinner…just plan a bit as your groceries will require a trip to the local stores in Domme or Cenac. And bring your bathing suit for a dip in the heated pool! Wonderful staff (Paul and Marilou) were available to answer any questions Merci Dordogne!!!”

“A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!”

“Un peu difficile a trouver. Site tres agréable au bord de la Dordogne. Une trentaine de tentes réparties dans un grand champ. Tente bien aménagée. Un bloc acceuil et petite restauration, un bloc sanitaires, une cuisine ouverte pour ceux qui veulent preparer leurs repas. C est un camping il faut donc apporter ses draps et ses serviettes ( photos sur le site un peu trompeuses!) . Expérience sympathique en pleine nature.”
