“Comfortable room and excellent supper in the restaurant. There were 2 of us with bikes and very kindly were allowed to store them overnight in the hotel. Excellent stopover if completing the Wolf Way bike trail. ”
“Wish they had more rooms with bigger beds Also wished they'd have had face towels. Overall great property. Staff were absolutely wonderful. Would definitely stay again while in Clacton. ”
“Check in nullo (mi son state lasciate le chiavi e addio) check out peggio (non c'e posto dove lasciare le chiavi, tutto spento e chiuso.. pulizia nulla ( camera pulita 1 volta in 2 settimane) porte e pareti spesse come un foglio di carta, porta del bagno completamente imbarcata e non si chiude, finestra con serratura rotta che non si chiude.. camera davvero piccola!”

For me it was just worn out.
But, the price paid and everything else was unbeatable.
The full English was amazing value for money cooked just right and lots of it, superb.
A lovely stay in a great seafront room.

“We booked a Double Ensuite Room. On arrival our room was the family room. Wow what a massive room. It had 3 beds. Lovely fresh looking room, so clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower had great pressure and water was hot.
We also booked a twin room. This too was lovely and clean. Had a kettle, teas and coffees for use, as did the Double Room.
Pauline & Dave were brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much if you requested anything. You could tell that they had been hosts for a long time.

“Lovely quiet and massive grounds covered in nature and very well kept, the accomodations were lovely and everything whilst on the higher end price wise was worth every penny. Would happily return. Some of the staff really set the hotel apart by being more accomodating than most ”
“We loved it here, had a a good couple of nights with friends. Beautiful apartment, amazing mattresses and pillows, very quiet environment. The pool wasn’t open and some work was happening but you can tell it’s going to look amazing once they put it all together and summer prep work is expected at this time of year. Kara was fab and we met a super helpful housekeeper who is doing a degree who was a literal walking tourist information centre. Great atmosphere all round .”
“I expected to be in the annex, but the room was very good and had a balcony.
Food was excellent, generous portions.
To be honest, I thought the wine was a bit pricey.
Very nice garden, and plenty of parking.
The hotel is a training hotel, so the staff are knowledgeable. ”

"This hotel is not comfortable. No elevator, and thin curtains. A lot of light from the windows wakes you up at sunrise.
Bathroom dirty and with bad smell.
Good breakfast, and free parking.
