“We stayed here using some Tesco vouchers to pay for the stay.
We booked a Superior Balcony Room for one night. Check-in was very friendly and quick, and we were walked to our room by the receptionist.
The room was lovely, but we did discover an issue with the electronic lock — it wouldn’t lock when we went to leave.
We reported it to reception, and someone came to have a look at it quite quickly. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to resolve the issue, so we were moved to a Deluxe Room.

“The staff were very helpful from the moment I arrived. I needed to book an additional night and thought that might mean a different room for two nights as Expedia said they couldn’t do at their end. They were very accommodating and gave me a room upgrade which was lovely. They carried my luggage to my room. Breakfast was amazing. Servers were friendly. The front desk agent arranged transportation for me when I left. A very pleasant stay. ”

“The Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. The rooms have nice versions of all the basics, including a good bed and excellent shower. There are few extra amenities beyond the room and pub, although the breakfast was very good. “Had an amazing stay! Room was fantastic! So no what we was expecting, we only booked last minute over the bank holiday weekend as we had a funeral nearby.
Everything about the room was excellent, clean, modern, gorgeous shower.
We ate in the pub restaurant, the food was superb.
Breakfast was excellent! So much choice. The staff were so welcoming and friendly
