Hotel a Hope

“The room was really really nice. We stayed in the room with the round stain glass Window, which was really beautiful. We’d travelled to the area to go to Chatsworth house for the Christmas market et cetera, which was great. Staff in the hotel were pretty friendly, more so in the restaurant than at the desk. The room was lovely although I would say that they need to change the carpet around the tub in the room as there were lots of water stains around it which spoilt the feeling of luxury...

“The staff were so courteous and warm. Very helpful Sky in reception and Vanessa was excellent in the lounge in the evening. Despite a very large booking being expected they couldn’t do enough to ensure we were able to eat before going out for the evening. The servers too were warm and friendly and you actually felt like they cared about you and your stay. ”

“This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.”

“Warm welcome. Lovely room in the coach house - spotlessly clean, warm and with very comfortable beds. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was very good with friendly and prompt service. ”

“Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out.”
