“Fabulous old building with original features. Staff extremely helpful. Perfectly placed hotel for walking into the centre.”

“Lovely cosy cottage in picturesque village. Well equipped with welcome goodies for guests and pets from hostess Jane. Lovely enclosed gardens front and back, with two log burners no less, for colder months. Village is quiet and peaceful with one pub (literally 2 mins walk) serving food. Other amenities in nearby villages - great quiet retreat or base for exploring the Peaks in general. First visit, and would have no hesitation booking again. ”

“Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay.”

“Weekend away for my partners birthday so we went for the honeymoon suite. The room has a huge bed and a huge bath which was a great surprise for the other half. The hotel was well presented and staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us both feel very welcome. Breakfast was included in the room cost and offered a good choice of continental and cooked breakfast to order. The service provided was very friendly and attentive.
