Excellent rooms with very comfortable beds and great bathrooms (shower particularly good). In goes without saying you need a car and should approach from Lancaster (some very narrow roads otherwise -don’t trust sat nav). Would definitely return. ”

“The restaurant was excellent although the service was slow as there was no Maitre d' at the door to welcome and we had to wait quite a few minutes to be seated. However, the waiter cleared a table for us efficiently upon request. The setting was perfect for our outdoor weekend: rapidly flowing river outside our window and lovely views into the valley. The room was comfortable and spacious fitting myself, my husband and grown son adequately.”
