“We loved the way the property- an old tannery- had been converted into a hotel with a lot of unique properties. Unfortunately, it had some challenges for disabled people: going up and down stairs, for example. They had a little chair lift in two places, but the wheelchair had to be carried manually up and down stairs. There was great difficulty for going from our ground floor room to breakfast on 2nd floor. They offered to accommodate by bringing breakfast down to us in the bar area of ground...

“Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside. Highlights: clean and pretty well kept, despite it being super busy (it was July!), with a really good breakfast and a nice cozy bar plus Pub Food in...
