Cottage a Kendal

“Amazing weekend.Bit awkward to find as we came in from kendal way ..Sat nav tookus throughmiles of one car wide road but its a paradise corner with stream and garden areas.. Some cottages residential but very friendly especially John..Also has smart TV and excellent wifi ..4 of us on anniversary weekend.Fully recommended..”

“A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Everything that is required is there, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. My only (minor) complaint was that the quality of the towels supplied wasn’t great. Otherwise and excellent holiday home.”

“Wonderful location - woods, rivers, fells all available from the doorstep. Swam in Gurnal Dubs on New year's day! Dark sky area so fabulous stars. Well designed, warm, studio and furnished to a high standard. The air fryer was a revelation!Few details would have made it 5 star- plates are cracked, some items were not clean on arrival (chopping board, teapot) and an extra blanket/more logs would have be nice given it was winter. Handsoap, toilet roll, 1 teatowel was available but not enough was...

“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

“We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage. Everything one could need in the cottage and in such a beautiful location. Walks from the front door! A short drive into Windermere and the rest of the Lake District too. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again. The only one thing we did not enjoy massively was the low pressure from the shower. But that is splitting hairs! A big Thanks to cottages.com and this delightful cottage”

“Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future.”
