“What a lovely place to stay. Friendly, accommodating, quiet, comfortable is only the start of the experience. Definitely book for the dinner which is excellent and served in the small but intimate restaurant. Breakfast - really good with locally supplied produce - doesn't get much better. We stayed in the Bothy which was very big and even had a little kitchenette. “A very cute lodge in a tranquil setting. Comfortable beds, great shower facilities and a great welcome pack was provided. We enjoyed watching the wide variety of birds including pheasants and red kites. ”

“lovely place, nice rooms and bathrooms. lovely sea view from high floor room although it is alot of stairs to walk up. Doors use a code to open which is easy to use. Top floor room did get quite hot and only had one small roof window to open, a fan would be a helpful addition in summer months”

“Parking was limited we were lucky as there was hardly anyone else staying- this is a B&B Not a hotel and is a bit down at heel hasn’t had any investment for a while - but nice family/staff good breakfast - overpriced I’m afraid”

“Rooms and outside facilities need updating and decorating. Outside tables and patio needs regular cleaning and sweeping. But Ben and all his staff were helpful, attentive and friendly.”

“Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. ”
