“I arrived at the hotel very late night and tired, and I had to wake up early for my 8:00 a.m. flight. While walking barefoot in the room, I felt something sharp under my foot — it was a piece of nail that a previous guest had cut and left on the floor, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. It was obvious the room was not clean, but since I needed to rest, I decided to mention it at the reception before leaving. “Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. “The hotel was very clean. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Never stayed at a Days Inn before but would certainly stay with them again. Although the hotel was on the m1 we didn’t hear any traffic noise. There was no restaurant at the hotel but services was next door”

“The room in which we were to stay was the St Petersburg room. The room smelt of dust and that was going to be the least of our worries. We sat on the bed and immediately the bed squeaked and the frame moved. Getting off the bed was another story as the mattress was below the steel frame so you literally had to climb out over it. The frame of the bed which was a 4 poster style bed rocked on any movement. After spending 20 minutes in the room we decided not to risk the bed collapsing and chose to...

“The staff were very kind and helpful, particularly the lovely lady at breakfast who went above and beyond to make sure my husband who is a coeliac had a safe, cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast looked delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the continental breakfast which was included in the room price. A £7.50 extra charge was paid for the cooked breakfast which was great value. The room was basic and a little tired and in need of an upgrade but the bed was very comfortable....

“visto il numero esiguo di hotel in zona, è una scelta quasi obbligata. Ho dovuto tirare la valigia su per una rampa di scale sbilenche ma il letto era pulito. La signora al check in è stata molto gentile, gli altri due ragazzi in reception al check non mi sembravano per niente motivati invece. wifi ottimo.”

“La struttura è all'interno di un'area di servizio, comodissima come stop di una notte per spezzare un viaggio. Personale gentile, la colazione è un cesto che si ritira al mattino presso la reception. In camera te, caffè e bollitore. Struttura pulita, unica nota negativa quando siamo entrati la temperatura in camera era freddissima. Alzando il condizionatore si è poi riscaldata nella notte col passare delle ore. Consiglierei di impostare le temperature un po più alte a camere vuote. ”
