We have a small hobby farm on the property, home to friendly, quiet goats who love interacting with guests. The farm is visible from the guesthouse’s back patio, though it’s located down the hill and at a distance. Many guests enjoy watching the animals roam the canyon from the patio.
Our cleaning protocols include:

Providing extra cleaning supplies for guest use
Adhering to local safety and cleaning guidelines
For check-in purposes only, video cameras are located at the property driveway entrance to verify compliance with our house rules: a maximum of 2 guests, no visitors, and no animals allowed. Violations will result in immediate reservation cancellation. Please note, there are absolutely no cameras inside Peacock Point guest house or in its private outdoor areas.

---NO PETS ALLOWED, NO EXCEPTIONS!---
There are several reasons why:
1. We live on a canyon that has a VERY active coyote presence - in fact you will almost certainly see them or hear them during your stay - they are just part of our eco-system here in California. However, pets HAVE been lost here to coyotes - they are extremely smart and fast. There is NO fencing between your Airbnb and the canyon where the coyotes live and hunt other animals. While they pose very little threat to humans, coyotes are known for snatching pets they see as prey from right in front of their owners, and unfortunately this is not an exaggeration by any means.
2. Guests have noted allergies that are compromised by pet dander/hair.
3. We own a small hobby farm. Our animals are easily scared by other peoples pets and it will cause problems. We love our farm pets and they deserve an environment in which they are not in fear of other animals, that they instinctively react to as predators.

We do not allow the cat we own to enter the guesthouse, please do not allow her inside.
If house rules are violated, Airbnb will cancel your reservation immediately without a refund. We want to avoid this situation, and we’re sure you do too. Although the property is surrounded by acres of open canyon, we do have neighbors, and we also live in the main house. We kindly ask that you respect everyone’s right to a peaceful and quiet environment.
Since this is a small hobby farm and our home is located on the same property, you may see us around tending to the animals or working in the garden. Feel free to say hello and learn more about what makes this place special—we love sharing it with our guests! However, we completely respect your privacy if you prefer a more secluded stay.
