Hotel a Tall Timbers

“Very beautiful Inn. The rooms are very clean and quiet. There are lots of sitting areas on the property, and a pier that you can walk out on to view the bay. The breakfast was wonderful. There is a small bar downstairs, but we weren't sure if it was in operation. The check-in was a bit awkward. Hotels.com had listed that I would receive an email from the Inn within 5 days of my reservation. I never received an email from the Inn, so I emailed them and didn't hear back. “Everything was pretty good except for the door would not latch fully. You literally had to lift up for it to latch and be able to lock it. And minor details like a rusty toilet paper holder and cracked light cover in the bathroom. But the view was so worth it. These would have been a bigger issue if the stay would have been longer. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Will be back just because you have water on both sides and it is secluded from the everyday busy bodies.”

Allen, who ran the breakfast room, was extremely conscientious, kept the tables sparkling and the breakfast is beyond the ordinary "Continental." Front desk staff was also great. “The side door was broken and had to walk all the way to back to our car. The hardboiled eggs need to be shelled . Too difficult and messy can't run under H2O. Need to bring waffle machine back. Bagel bar no big deal. That was always there”

“There was nobody at the desk when we arrived for check-in. Multiple bell-rings, knocking on the staff door, walking the length of the hotel inside, and then the circumference of the hotel outside yielded zero staff members. It wasn't until I was circling back around the hotel that my partner came outside and said someone finally showed up at the front desk. Absolutely ridiculous. The room (room 112 iirc, it was first floor) had a dead lamp, moldy artwork in the bathroom, and a TV with an...
