The hotel is in front of Allmendhubel ski lift and 2 min away from Birg/Schilthorn gondola. Couldn't be better placed.
Room was small but clean and warm. Personnel was nice in the extreme. Good breakfast and restaurant food. For the restaurant I advice to book in advance. They fortunately let us seat but it was fully booked and we were lucky.

“Wir haben auf einer Motorrad Tour eine Nacht im Hotel Astoria verbracht. Vom Personal wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Für die Motorräder gab es einen Platz in der Garage. Wir waren im neuen Anbau des Hauptgebäudes untergebracht. Das Zimmer war hell, sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das zugehörige Restaurant bietet sehr leckere regionale Speisen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut. All the staff were all super friendly and a special mention for Thomas who helped me plan out my hikes each day and was so helpful.
The hikes that Thomas recommended were amazing.

“We loved our stay in the small chalet apartment at Hotel Baren! We had an amazing view of the mountains and could hear the bells on the sheep just down the road… and see the bunnies playing just outside our window by Hotel Edelweiss. The free breakfast was AMAZING and we had dinner there, too - also delicious. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!”

“Wengen is a hidden gem and this property was fabulous! I stayed with my 4 kids on the top level, which was a space with 2 rooms and a loft. We had plenty of sleeping space and magnificent views of the mountains and valley. There are cute shops and fantastic restaurants in Wengen. Hotel Falken offered a nice breakfast, and the staff was welcoming and helpful to us during our stay.”

“Ottima struttura, camere un po’ piccole ma con vista spettacolare e terrazza enorme. La cena molto buona . Buffet decisamente generoso e di qualità . L’atmosfera è impagabile, paesino splendido. Non posso che consigliarlo. ”
“I had great expectations for this stay since I’ve been to Wengen several times and I looked forward to stay at this hotel, that I value as the best there.
It was a short stay to ski, so I arrived and I departed late. The reception closes at 16.00 so I found my room key waiting for me with a nice note and that’s it. After 16.00 there’s also no service to and from the station: a minor issue.
I felt really unwelcome without a human contact with the reception: I can understand that at a “cheap”...

"It was a good stay overall. Big room.Though Room was non AC but we were provided with Table Fans (Extra one was also given upon request) and quite apt for overall weather. It was accessible from main market and can cover by walk. Bus stop was also very close. "
