“As a solo female traveler, I was a bit surprised at the location of my “first” room. I was at the very end of the hall, next to the stair well and across from the trash room. The hallway did smell a bit because the trash room door was propped open but the room itself did not. I was not comfortable with the location so requested a room change - something closer to an elevator - more in the mix and was accommodated without question. “No heat the first night. When reported, housekeeping brought a tiny space heater from the managers office. The heater was a fire-hazard, too small for the queen size bed room (in the old boy’d dormitory area). The cord was too hot to touch. When I returned the unit to the front desk I was not even offered a change of room. I also reported dirty, dingy sheers in the windows and the loud exhaust fan in the bathroom.
