“Sandy does a nice job of welcoming you, with her friendliness and her creative expression seen in every detail of her home. It was a very comfortable stay in all aspects. My one caution, which she has stated, is it is an upstairs apartment, so it is not handicap accessible in any way.”

“We had a wonderful time and Grant was a great host! He answered the emails to the questions we had in a timely fashion. We fished everyday, caught about 10 to 15 pan fish, even though it was like fishing in a tornado but it was fun. The house was clean, and had everything we needed. We decided not to take our little dogs with, but Grant had a great fenced in space for them. Thanks Grant and hope to be back soon! Leta and Barb”

“We had the pleasure to stay here for 5 days and what a wonderfully cozy home! Everything was so easily comfortable, all is exactly as posted, the location on the water is incredibly peaceful, the hot tub is a huge plus, and our stay was completely enjoyable. The owner was extremely responsive throughout the booking and even easily helped us extend our stay by a day (how much we liked it!). Highly recommend!”

“What a lovely experience! Host was helpful and responsive. House is large and well appointed, perfect for our group of families. Kids had a few spots to play and have a safe “sleepover” experience. Lots of space to lounge, play and eat. “The proximity to Great Lakes Recruitment Center, Sarge’s Meet & Greet, restaurants, etc. is perfect. We were in town for our son’s boot camp graduation and knew we wanted more room to hang out than a typical hotel room would offer. It was great to be able to relax, watch movies, just hang out with our sailor for the precious two days we had. This place has location, location, location if you’re coming in for boot camp graduation.”

“We were in North Chicago for PIR. It is less than 2 miles to the ceremony (we walked to avoid traffic and parking), there are ample rooms and beds for a family crew. Space to cook and serve and lounge about while your sailor decompresses. Restaurants are near enough (we got pizza from LouMalnatis in Gurnee), and grocery stores were close too. Communication was spot on, every time I had a question, they were on top of it (no issues, just questions)”

“Don’t be fooled by the modest exterior—the renovated interior of this house is charming and cozy. The owners have gone out of their way to provide the most comfortable bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. There was autumn decor, new fleece blankets for snuggling, and 3 big TVs. Just a few hundred feet from a huge, clean beach, we also enjoyed the Racine Zoo, giant playground, board games, nearby haunted houses, and local eats. “A group of us stayed here for sons graduation from Great Lakes navy base. It was 20 minutes to base. We had plenty of room for my family and my son’s friends. Beautiful home, very clean, hot tub was a nice bonus. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We would stay again.”

“Cute little place with awesome views of the lake!!! All the amenities needed, very nicely decorated, and comfy beds! Personal parking spot a great plus! Some maintenance required though and a funny smell that was not pleasant to come back to. We had to buy a candle to drown out the smell and one family member with autoimmune health struggles had difficultly with this.”
