“Beautiful location and maintained well. Reception could have been more helpful as I was travelling alone to explain the amenities on arrival. The restaurant was full until after 8pm (I was working from 6:30pm so couldn't eat in the restaurant) therefore it would have been helpful to offer a limited menu in the bar area as I believe there was nothing in the vicinity according to reception either. The breakfast staff didn't ask if I had been to breakfast previously so it was not explained where...

“The rooms were clean and spacious and had been recently renovated. Breakfast was delicious (but not included in the price). We enjoyed the musical jam session in then pub the evening we were there.”

“This hotel is an excellent point to visit the national park and Loch Lomond. In front of the hotel there is a narrow road tha lead to a splendid view of the loch, and nearby there are place where to eat , a supermarket and atm. We have been very happy with the hotel facilities, there is a gym and a awesome pool with also sauna and jacuzzi. very happy!”

“We stayed only one night therefore my opinion can be partial. The building is old and some parts should probably be renewed (elevator first!) but well kept in general. The room rather small but clean. WiFi is probably underdimensioned as I could not connect despite of the good signal, fortunately personel (all very kind) provided an alternative network. The hotel is located right on the main road so it was easy to find. It is also very quiet though. Parking is in the area of the hotel. Other...

“Esperienza da incubo: moquette sporca e consunta, porte e finestre malmesse, pavimento sconnesso e ovunque odore nauseabondo. Se non siamo scappati è stato solo per via delle lenzuola accettabili e perché la struttura in grado di ospitarci era ad un’ora di auto (avevamo fatto trekking la mattina e poi guidato per quasi 300 miglia). Le tre stelle -semmai ci siano mai state- risalgono a venti anni fa, quando avrebbero dovuto chiudere per ristrutturazione. Indecente!”

“I just wanted a simple hotel to come back to after driving all day. No remote for tv, forgot to ask in the morning before leaving for my day trip. Got in late, managed to get Tv on and on a channel, but next night there was a Samsung update message that required the remote. then went for a shower…nearly got severe burns from the tankless water heater as it doesn’t seem to work properly (hot is cold, and apparently cold is hot and extremely dangerously hot. Nowhere to escape to as the shower is...

“I can't say enough about the Sugar Boat....check in, personnel, food.. all incredible. The location is perfect..right in the middle of a pedestrian square. Every single interaction we had with the staff couldn't have been more positive. Wonderful experience!”
