“Staying here was an amazing experience and everything we needed for a quick trip to Ellensboro and Shelby area. Karen was amazing in meeting with and us when we arrived and also showing us around the property/facilities. We were not traveling with horses but would definitely consider returning with horses in the future. Thank you Karen for an amazing experience and very clean and comfortable place to sleep!”

“This beautiful, cozy cabin was one of the cleanest vacation rentals we’ve stayed in — even the up high windows were clean! We rested so well here and really felt like we had a get away. This house is 25 minutes up the mountain and it is so worth it. Go slow and enjoy the local flora and fauna. We saw turkeys multiple times, including a family with babies! “Bob and Gayle were so helpful and available to us,the property is better in person, than in any picture you can see or read about. The privacy and beauty of this cabin is great. Activities to go to are within 20 to 40 minutes from the cabin. The spring fed pond was a great part of the property my dog and I swimmed every inch of it. The fruit trees and wooded area were an incredible add on to this property, my wife and I will definitely come back God willing. Thank you Bob”

“We were visiting to visit our daughter while she worked the summer for the Forest City Owls and this home was only 15-20 minutes from the stadium and downtown Forest City. “We loved our stay. Easy access for a car with a wheelchair. Although we couldn’t get the chair inside it was easy to charge it from an outlet and it was under the roof on the front porch. The views from the back porch were stunning and fun to look out at the night sky and twinkling lights below. “The most pet-friendly place we’ve stayed. A clean, fenced backyard, a balcony/deck with good railings (no worrying that a dog might fall off), one of the bedrooms on the first floor so we didn’t have to use the stairs.
