Hotel a St. Ansgar

“Rooms were large, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was normal hotel quality and opened early. Plenty of parking, even with a boat. The hotel was completely full do to a kids baseball tournament. The room we were assigned was next to pool so sleep was optional. The only down side.”

“Pluses: Check in process was quick & easy. The breakfast was excellent. Conveniently located right off the interstate. Deltas: We stayed in a suite with a foldout couch. There was no bedding in the room to be found. My wife went down to the desk to get bedding, but they didn't give her a pillow. Another trip down when the bedding should have been in the room already. It's the only reason we booked this room & it became a headache for us.”

“We were in the building with one other guest! It was quiet and very comfortable! The breakfast meal was superb! The young woman that prepared the food was an artist! I have never had an omelet so light and tasteful! The Rose Room had a private balcony, that allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the weather! I definitely will stay there again!”

“Without a doubt, this is an interesting and unique place to stay. The Frank Lloyd Wright influence is obvious in the hotel and Mason City downtown. Lovely old building that was extensively refurbished over 10 years and well maintained since. We stayed in the hotel on 2 dare a week apart. The first stay was booked directly with the hotel fire a Queen bed and the assigned room was toward the front of the hotel. Our 2nd stay was booked through Expedia selecting a King bed. The Expedia stay...

“Thank you for allowing dogs on the property. That is a plus. However, I was there four nights and had no courtesy cleaning of the room and I think that should happen at least every two nights with the provision of extra bath towels, etc..”
