“We were able to check in at a later time and had someone greet us at the office. The office management was kind and friendly. The cleaning lady was also really nice and understand. We stayed two nights and had no issues. Highly recommend. The only thing we didn’t really enjoy was the running water for the shower. It made a funny noise when you first turn on the water. Overall, nice place to stay. ”

“We stayed at this cute cabin on our vacation from the Houston, Texas area to visit the Wegner Crystal Mine. It was a wonderful reprieve from the city. The walk to the creek was a great experience for our family. Very beautiful little gem. Our host was communicative and our stay was amazing. Thank you so much!”

“We love staying here when we come to Mt. Ida to dig crystals! Super cute little cabin, very clean and comfy. Close to town, but far enough out so it feels like the country. It has a glorious wrap around deck with a nice Blackstone grill that overlooks the woods and a nice firepit. There is a cabin next door, but it's not close enough to be bothersome. We will definitely be back!”

“So much more than the listing shows! We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. The fire pit was a bonus as we enjoyed watching the sunset. The river access is amazing…enjoyed some fishing and the peace and quiet. We kicked it old school in the evening and watched some movies on dvd. Local Mexican restaurant and Fish Nest restaurant were good. A wonderful weekend of being unplugged and enjoying quality time together! We plan to be back!”

“This is a sweet little property that was perfect for our quick change of Spring Break plans. It was perfect for 3 kids, ages 10-15 and mom and dad! The location was great for hiking, fishing, crystal searching, diamond mining and a rainy day trip to Hot Springs. A couple of updates would make this stay nicer. “Josh was great to work with. He called before I got there to let me know there was a problem with the hot water heater and offered several solutions including staying in a bigger cabin. The view is amazing! You’re right on the Caddo River. You’re secluded but only a few miles from town so it’s the best of both worlds.”

“Our stay at Gap Mercantile was amazing. The unique experience of staying in what was once part of a general store was like going back in time, but of course it had all the modern amenities. The owners were absolutely wonderful. They were helpful throughout the stay, and we ended up spending a couple of hours talking to them and hanging out in the store because they were just great people. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!”

“Everything was great except for storage. There was no place to hang clothes or lay anything. Need some hooks on the walls and clothes rods somewhere to hang jackets and clothes. A table or set of empty shelves to replace the ones with decorations would have been handy. The raised area under the dining table was a hazard and needs to be removed.”

“My son and I stayed for one night to head to a dirt bike race the next morning. The rental is located in a park of sorts. I was a bit confused finding our spot, but it worked out quickly. I drive a full size truck, and parking was a bit tight. I did appreciate having the paved area though, as I used it to do some work on the bike. The house itself was perfect for our needs.
