“Very nice hotel. Situated in countryside close to motorway. Great breakfast and outsude seating by lake.”

“Loved everything about The Moat House; the house and grounds were lovely, the room had everything we needed, the food, the breakfast, bar snack and evening meal where perfect and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant.What we loved the most was all the little places you could find to just sit outside, beside the water and also that for breakfast and evening meal you were looking out onto water again. We will definitely come again and highly recommend it. Thankyou for our stay.”

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

“Unfortunately I had eaten enroute so did not dine in the nicely furnished olde style pub which took orders until 20.30 but, despite my 20.20 arrival I was given opportunity to eat. The bed was very comfortable. An armchairxwas provided in addition to a chair.”

“Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal. ”
