“Nice homely atmosphere. Clean, comfortable and Breakfast freshly cooked and served in pleasant surroundings. Come and go if you please and self cater if you want to. Sarah and her Mum are most welcoming and checking in and out was faultless. A great place to stay and would do it again. Plenty of space to park.”

“Absolutely spot on. We expected quite simple / basic accommodation and were pleased to find it as anticipated - a small cabin like bedroom simply fitted out but completely adequate and spotlessly clean. We didn't arrive until just after 8pm but were cheerfully greeted by a very helpful Chris (despite him being towards the end of a busy day for him - when we arrived he was part of a small team clearing up after a wedding or birthday celebration of some size). “To be fair we stayed at this hotel during the hottest week of the year but it was boiling! Our rooms were on the top floor so that didnt help either but the water pipes in the room were roasting, the windows didnt open fully because of the safety features and the water didnt get very cold to help cool us down. Even with 2 fans on in the room the heat in there was unbearable. We ended up having to put wet towels on us in an attempt to keep cool. Food was ok but not great and the garden furniture...

“Another fantastic stay at Moat House for my parents, who simply won't stay anywhere else when they're visiting the area! The whole team were phenomenal from start to finish. Apologies that we didn't manage to get everyone's names, but Hannah on reception was amazing at check-in, and Kirsty was excellent at check-out. “I arrived at the hotel very late night and tired, and I had to wake up early for my 8:00 a.m. flight. While walking barefoot in the room, I felt something sharp under my foot — it was a piece of nail that a previous guest had cut and left on the floor, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. “Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. ”
