“We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia...

“Very nice hotel, a lot more "upmarket" than your traditional seaside hotel. The bed was comfy, air con (not usually needed in the UK but it was 27+degrees the few days we stayed), decent toiletries, great selection of tea and coffee in the room. The type of room we booked included robes and slippers. It's a quite far from the pier if that's the vibe you're looking for.
