“This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....
“Everything about the Buxted Park Hotel was superb, starting with the staff: they were deeply knowledgeable and personable. The rooms were beautifully furnished and afforded scenic views. Dining was a delight. Finally, we enjoyed the estate grounds. The Church of St. Margaret the Queen provided a religious and historical uplift. And don’t miss the many trails on and around the estate!”
“We had a wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor, the staff are lovely, service in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! ”

“Veldig koselig hotell med veldig bra frukost. God fleksibilitet kring innsjekkingen da vi ankom sent. Litt dumt at det var vanngymnastik i bassenget da vi skulle bade så vi måtte gå opp, men det var kun 30 min så det gikk fint. Trevlig personal og fantastiske omgivelser. ”
