“The room was clean and spacious, but unfortunately the bedding had stains, and the toilet, bathroom, and floors were not cleaned. The bath drain was also blocked, something the hotel already seems aware of, as I later saw similar complaints in online reviews. It was disappointing to realise we had been given a room with an issue that had clearly been reported before. The staff were also quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. “Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you.”
