Hotel a Cheat Lake

“Huge holes in the ceiling, buckets full of water sitting everywhere. No pool or hot tub as advertised. Road to the facility has huge potholes. Very outdated rooms and furniture. Only 1 elevator and 1 luggage cart. Had to carry everything up three flights of stairs or walk what seemed like a mile. At one time, it was probably a nice place, really needs upgrades. Wouldn’t recommend it in its current condition.”

“The room was very large with sparse furniture and needed lamps for extra lighting. It felt unfinished but clean. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable.”

“This place was great. It exactly met our needs. There is a great gym, a really nice heated indoor pool and a cute little park. We stayed in one of the townhouses. It was clean and had everything we needed to make meals. We will definitely come back next time we visit WV”

“I am a native from the area and when there are family functions going on my husband and I LOVE staying at the Lodge!! We are only 1hr 15min away but its such a nice home away from home and always so welcoming!! The guy at the front desk we dealt with during our stay was A++++.. keep him forever and give him a raise bc he is FANTASTIC!! Hope to see him next time we check in!! If your looking at reviews... “L’hotel è entrato a far parte del National Register of Historic Places nel 2007. Molto bello e ben mantenuto. Camera spaziosa con due queen beds, il bagno piccolino. Non ha coffee maker ma caffè e acqua calda sono disponibili accanto alla reception e il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Non ha ascensore. La connessione internet è debole, non tutte le camere riescono a usufruirne. L’hotel ha comunque molto charme e sono molto contenta di avervi soggiornato.”

“The interior of the small apartment was clean. The bed was uncomfortable, however; the mattress needs to be replaced. We knew it was a double bed, but rolling into each other made for a bad night's sleep which was aggravated by the amazing number of dump trucks who ground through their gears rounding the corner of Route 7. On the other hand, after I asked for a hot plate so I could boil some water for dinner, the host provided us with a pot, steamer, and wonderful hot plate that worked...

“No bath gel in the container”

“The parking lot was nice and big, no problems getting into and leaving the property. I tried to check the tub drain and it came out of the tub drain mechanism. But I didn’t want a bath so I didn’t worry about it, and left the piece in the tub area. The WiFi worked well with no connection problems. My wife said the coffee at the front desk was very good. She absolutely needs her coffee in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.”
