“This is an outstanding property in a quiet, picturesque part of Stoke-on-Trent (the village of Barlaston). Morgan at Reception on Tuesday afternoon 15/7/25 was fantastic… very helpful, very pleasant! Dinner was very nice…and the wait staff pleasant and efficient! Our room was well appointed and beds very comfortable, with a nice ensuite and shower. This property exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend this property! “I booked two triple rooms for my family and I. Check in was easy and check staff friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean, quiet. They had enough pillows and towels. The soap and shampoo dispensers were fully stocked. The power shower was great and easy to use. There was hair dryer, ironing board and iron in the room and tea and coffee properly stocked. The lighting in the bathroom and room was nice and bright. I was really impressed by the high standards at the hotel and rooms prices. Excellent...
“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
