Hotel a Saint Osyth

“It was our first time staying in Pippin Cottage and what a delight. When we arrived we contacted the host and they met us promptly. It is a very cosy and quiet location. Not far from st Osyth village. Thankyou to the hosts for a lovely stay. ”

“While close to town center getting there requires a walk up a very steep hill--not suitable for old people. The hotel was helpful in terminating our stay after one day. A well placed hotel for younger people requiring a basic hotel. Breafast was good. Evening menu should be avoided.”

“We booked a last minute break as the weather was expected to be great and this little hotel and pub turned out to be every bit as good as the weather. The room was quite compact but equally very comfortable, and had the benefit of a balcony over looking the estuary and boat yard. The afternoon entertainment in the garden was really good as was the fresh fish, prawns and oysters served from the garden bar. “I liked the convenience of where it was and where I wanted to be. The size of the bed was very spacious and comfortable. The room was very dated and had wallpaper hanging off the wall, the bathroom sink surface was all chipped off and made it look scruffy. There were a number of moths in the room too.”

“Unfortunately, the hotel reviews from previous guests did not prepare us for the tired and “seen better days” hotel. The exterior paintwork peeling and despite very helpful staff the stairs, corridors and room had seen better days. We decided not to stay but booked another room elsewhere. Shame because we book many hotels through hotels.com and 9/10 have been fine. This was not “up to standard”. Sorry”

“Asked for early check in with them which was accepted by them . Got there only to be told couldn’t have room till 2 which made us late for wedding . Towel rail was full on which made room unbearably hot went to reception asking them to turn it off which they never did no sleep as room was sweltering.”
