Hotel a Cloquet

“Security at the property? I got to the site around 1130 pm and there was an active theft happening in the parking lot, the guy ran off when i pulled in. I reported it to the receptionist and he did a great job handling it. Was a little taken back to learn that there were no cameras on the front of the building towards the parking lot. Then the next day at my meeting a person there said that he had stayed there a few weeks ago and his truck was broken into, and another guy said that it happens...

“New mattresses were comfy. Shower curtain well worn. Unfortunately, the hot tub had been removed and paved over. However, the pictures still show the hot tub. Breakfast: Egg patties were dry on the edges and not very warm. Juice machine out of order.”

“The spacious room, the price per night stay, and close to 2 restaurants and convenience stores.”

“The price of the hotel was ridiculous. Over 300$. I was expecting a really nice place. Don't get me wrong. It was clean and modern. We had two rooms and both had pieces of the bathroom that were falling off. And had to fix a toilet and one of the toilet seats was really loose and pinched skin. The beds were very comfy! The breakfast was the bomb....So so good. The staff was amazing and very accommodating and super friendly. The only reason I give it 3 stars is the price. Way way to over priced....

“breakfast was awesome, they have a waffle bar toppings. in the evening they had a smores bar. evenings also had warm lemongrass washclothes for you, it was lovely. the coast guard station was right out our window which was fun since we are both coast guard veterans”

“Our room was OK, but the rest of the property and building is really rundown. There is no elevator, with the hotel being three floors. No coffee in the room.”

“This hotel is right in the center of Canal Park so convenient to everything. It is very affordable in the winter. There's a good bar and grill right across the street that stays open until 2 AM in the morning which is a big plus if you're arriving late.”

“They charged $75 for my 20lb dog for one night stay! That is not pet friendly. Go find a different hotel while the typical one night charge is $25 for a small dog.”

“The property reeked of marijuana the second you leave your vehicle and through the building. The place is very outdated and not very clean/well maintained as there were dirty plates on the floor up near our room. There was water damage and leaking all over the property and room. We payed a lot of money for the unit and we could not even sleep due to fighting and screaming in the halls at various times past midnight. Not the most family friendly hotel and incredibly disappointed at our stay as is...

“Such a cute place to stay at and I loved the history of this hotel.”

“The only disappointment we had was trying to change the thermostat and the a/c unit is very loud when it turns on and off.”

“This is my go to when in Duluth. They take dogs which is the reason I stay. The place could use a good carpet cleaning. My room smelled and the hallway was stuffy and also smelly. Otherwise everything else is perfect. A good summer carpet cleaning wouldn’t hurt.”
