“hotel Arlington Dublino - non proprio malissimo, ma non ci tornerei”

Pro: - Stanza spaziosa e ben organizzata. - Letto comodo. Contro: - Wi-fi soltanto nella piccola e rumorosa hall, non in stanza. - Stanza molto rumorosa affacciata sul cortile interno e sui macchinari di cucine e condizionatori. - Bagno un po' malandato, non proprio pulitissimo. - Personale efficiente, ma poco simpatico. Se dovessi tornare a Dublino, cercherei un altro albergo.

“Centrale e spazioso”

L'hotel risulta vicino al centro e alle fermate dei bus per l'areoporto. La pulizia delle camere risulta buona e le camere sono spaziose. Evitate di mangiare nel pub sottostante che appartiene all'hotel anche se lo spettacolo è carino. Da questo hotel Dublino si gira tranquillamente a piedi.

“Aarlington Hotel O' Connel Bridge”

Ottimo hotel a prezzi convenienti, personale cortese, stanze e bagni puliti e abbastanza nuovi. Ottimo il pub sottostante per una serata divertente. L'unico accorgimento è che, per chi vuol dormire, bisogna richiedere una stanza all'ultimo piano altrimenti nel fine settimana la musica farà compagnia fino alle 2 di notte!

“Buon Rapporto prezzo/qualità - Centralissimo!!”

Hotel storico di Dublino. Buon rapporto prezzo/qualità. Decisamente "no-frills", perfetto per fine settimana. Gli accessori in bagno erano un po' datati ma comunque funzionanti. Posizione centralissima. Consiglio di prendere una stanza a partire dal secondo piano (niente ascensore), poichè il pub interno al piano terra può disturbare un po'!

“Wonderful staff makes this hotel the best!”

Centrally located, best staff you will ever find. Kind, caring, treat you like family. Nice clean room. Best Irish dancing show too. Good food, good times. The only small negative was uneven water temperature in the shower. A positive is that they are energy conservative. Would definitely go back.

Don't miss Trinity College, Book of Kells display. Students give the tour of the college and teach you a lot in a short time. Then head to the Book of Kells where you can lose yourself in many wonderful displays of history.

Stop in any Dublin tourism office. They can answer all your questions about what to see and their tour offerings are well worth it.

“Quality, Security, Comfort and Hospitality right in the center of Dublin”

To be honest, when I first booked, I thought the hotel might be a bit dicey, but the location was perfect for me as I had business right in the center of Dublin. I am happy to report that the quality of service was superb. AND the security was very good, too. (The town center of Dublin, right off O'Connell Bridge and facing the Liffey can, frankly, be a little weird sometimes.) This place was really good, the staff helpful and friendly and the buffet breakfast outstanding. I will definitely be back!

Dublin is a very lively city with great cultural offerings and a surprisingly good level of gastronomic service. (the days of overcooked and mushy food are long, long gone!) This hotel is equidistant from both Trinity and the Hugh Lane Gallery. The Abbey theater is a stone's throw and, of course, the ever chic Temple Bar area is just across the river. A great city and the Arlington was a great place to stay.

I especially like Dublin in the autumn. The Theater Festival is world class (Late September into early October) The weather was amazing this time through, though I can make no guarantee on that score. There are also fewer stag and hen parties flying in from abroad (June can be a nightmare) so the cities a bit quieter and easier to get around in. Taxis are reasonably priced and every single driver is a mine of information and opinion. By all means, feel free to strike up a conversation. (As if anyone in Ireland needs prompting! LOL)

My favorite is The Trocadero on Andrews Street. It's where all the arts folk go - theatricals, poets etc., etc. In my time I've had drinks with Sean Penn and dinner with Stephen Berkoff and have seen luminaries like Nureyev and Byran Ferry. Be sure to book. The steak is outstanding. (Am getting hungry just thinking about it!!) ALSO, don't miss the Horseshoe Bar at The Shelbourne. (Oh, wait, I should keep that to myself!) It's small, it's intimate and like myself this week, you might just find yourself sitting next to Bono.

“The Arlington O'Connell Bridge - NOT for those who want an early night!!!!”

Great location but the hotel runs a nightclub on the ground floor that plays "trendy" pop/dance music LOUD until about 2:30am on weekends. You will not be able to sleep through it! This of course will not be a problem for those who party late into the night, but for those drinkers who prefer to do the lunchtime to 1am shift this will be irritating for you. Aside from the noise the fixtures and the fittings in the rooms do appear to be a bit tired and worn, but the beds are comfortable and the facilities are OK though the TV was a bit too small and there were no biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities. Staff are helpful and will book a taxi and keep your luggage safe for you after you check out. I'd recommend this to late night revelers only!

I'd recommend staying a bit further north of the river, for e.g at the Maldron Hotel Parnell Square. It's small walk from all the attractions in the centre of Dublin and Temple bar (though only 10-15 mins!) but it's much quieter than the hotels nearer the river.

“Decent but No Wifi”

Good: Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant and bar. Not so good: Bed sheets were slightly damp upon check-in, hotel is a little old. The hotel promises wifi internet in the rooms, but (as others have noted) it is not existent. I inquired about this at the front desk, and they said there is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. The lobby wifi was also shaky and the electrical outlets are few and old as well.

“Good Value”

This was a perfect location in Dublin. Room was large and clean. Restaurant has live entertainment every night - fun! I could see a couple possible problems to watch out for. 1) Rooms in the old part of hotel where I stayed have no elevator which could be a problem for some. 2) I asked for a room on the third floor to avoid street and lounge noise. This was very quiet, but I guess it wouldn't be so on the first floor).
