Gerardo, the owner of our location, was very welcoming with us; even if our flight was in delay (we arrived at residence at 1 a.m.), he welcomed us to show the apartment. Gerardo was always available and very fast to reply to every our request. The apartment was very clean, functional and spacious according to the description. The position was very strategic, not so far to the centre of Funchal (10 minutes downhill by foot...

“New apartment in very good condition , clean with every thing you need for long or short stays. As others have said , the apartment is situated on a roundabout on a main road so there is traffic noise , but you get used to it and it did not affect our sleeping.”

“Andreias apartment has very good location. We enjoyed whole three months we stayed there. Balcony was nice place to look at sea and the nice park, lot of dogs playing and running. “This apartment has a 5 star location with the promenade, the bus stop and sea right outside the condo building. The small grocery store in the rather tired looking Centomar mall next door is very convenient for most all necessities including getting the Giro bus pass ticket and topping it up. It is a 12 minute walk up a gradual hill to the Forum shopping mall where the big Pingo Doce grocery store is situated. I would walk up and then use Bolt to taxi back with groceries at 4 euros. “The apartment is in a really good place, in the "zona velha" of Funchal just 5 minutes walking from the main street. It's big and clean. There is a balcony for drying clothes. The garage is a really good plus because it's not easy to find where to park your car. Paulo has been really kind to us and Corina (the housekeeper) is amazing. She lives upstairs and helped us with whatever we needed. We really suggest booking this apartment!”

“The location is probably the only thing that is worth mentioning. The building is very old and everything is the department is poorly maintained. There a a few restaurants right underneath and you will be bathed with cooking smells pretty much 24x7 (we were on the 6th floor and can’t imaging how much worse on lower floors). Parking is ridiculous and you need a lot of help from your friends to get in and out. ”

“A fabulous location, and surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of the old town. Apartment 1 is at the top of the building with 2 steep staircases to navigate. But once up there it is airy and bright with everything you could need. No hanging space for clothes but lots of room to store items flat. Accommodating and quick response to messages with host. Excellent location! Had a wonderful stay. Ombrigada. ”

“Grei beliggenhet. Kort vei til sentrum. Mange hyggelige spisemuligheter i nærheten. Litt trafikkstøy. Negativt: som ubetjent hotell bør utgangsdøren automatisk låses (var stort sett ulåst). Terrassedør og baderomsdør ikke mulig å låse/lukke. Gulvlaminat gikk fra hverandre.”

“Rental unit is located above a busy and loud shopping mall. So if you want a quieter place x this isn’t it. We were here only 3 nights and the in-unit washer broke on first use. Someone came to fix it the next day, but upon second use it broke again. We ended coming back and fixing it ourselves, YouTube to the rescue. Got our clothes out soaking wet and had to mop up the kitchen too. If you like to DIY around the house, stay here. ”
