There was Carmel corn (not ours) under the chair in the living space that was swarmed with ants and a trail coming from the patio door. Bathroom had ants coming out of the wood work and a spider had made its home in the corner complete with dead bugs. “Me and my friend booked a room about three weeks in advance. We looked at the terms and agreements before booking and it was stated that you had to be 18+ to check in. We drove 4 hours just for the rules to suddenly change. If you are under 21 don’t trust the website and don’t waste the gas just to be met by a passive aggressive concierge.”

“If you like historic older hotels, you will find this quite charming. They let you know in advance that there are a lot of stairs to carry your bags up to check in. The front desk staff were very nice. Our room, a king suite, was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Great location. We parked on the street and felt our vehicle was safe. My husband said they did an excellent job on the remodeling.”

“This is our third time staying at Anchor Inn. We enjoy the complementary bottle of wine, multiple bed spaces and that it’s pet friendly. The in room mini fridge and microwave is nice too.”

“Did not like that we had to check in at the Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites next door. The only indication of this is on the sign for the Newport Oceanfront Inn. Nothing on the website. Would have made check in easier for alot of guests. They are remodeling the Newport Oceanfront Inn so I get it. We also had to change rooms 3 times. 1st 1 had NO power cable to the TV. 2nd 1 the TV was nothing but fuzzy no matter what we did. Callie came to see what she could do but all she could do was move us...
