“The ac unit was broken on my floor. The 1st night I was told there were no rooms available to change and I would receive a discount. The next night I was given the opportunity to move rooms or receive another discount. I chose the discount because with the window open it wasn't terrible and I didn't want to have to re-pack all our stuff to move again. When I check out I tried to verify the discount would be applied. I was told the supervisor was not available but the message would be passed on....

“Idéalement situé , l'hébergement en chambre était très bien ( décoration , propreté , et personnel parfait) petit bémol , les travaux de façade qui démarre avec du marteau piqueur a 8h du matin !!! vraiment pas idéal pour se reposer . je pense qu'un dédommagement sur le prix pourrait être une bonne chose . “Hotel nello stadio, un po’ fuori dal centro, comodo per chi arriva a Edimburgo con l’auto nei giorni del Festival. Personale cortese e stanza tutto sommato comoda ma peccato non avesse una finestra. È la prima volta che dormo in una stanza senza finestra… ”

“The property was perfectly situated within Edinburgh. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were highly designed and very functional. The old building, comfy bed and location made for a wonderful visit!”

“We stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom unit and it was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms had black out curtains. I sent a message in advance asking for the beds in one of the rooms to be separated and they were each made with their own duvet and bedding, which we really appreciated (they were separated a couple of inches which was sufficient for us). We arrived around 12:30 and were able to store our bags at the The Scotsman Hotel. I sent a message asking if the unit was...

“Beautiful and cosy place just few steps away from the center. The atmosphere is exactly what you are expecting from a Scottish Hotel. Unfortunately for 2nights we had some problems with the heating and the noise the radiator was making. After the first night, when I showed the reception our concern, they told us that someone would have fixed it. None did. After the second night, at the check out I expressed again our concern and disappointment. The person at the desk checked what was not done....

“Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return”

“Tutto bellissimo tranne che la camera era nel basement quindi con una piccola finestra in alto. Colpa mia, forse, che non ho controllato alla prenotazione. Per il resto, camera pulita, bagno nuovo, colazione molto buona e personale gentile. ”
