“This place is nothing as advertised and just a disappointment all around. If you are simply looking for a bed to sleep in and nothing more then it is fine. “The Bannister Hotel is very conveniently situated for access to Witwatersrand University, where I was doing some research in archives. “So this is an apartment complex not a hotel. I did turn up very early and after enjoying breakfast in the insight restaurant was accommodated 4 hrs before the check-in time. Reception staff are professional and friendly.
