“Thid hotel is great. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. They also have a happy hour every day which is so nice after driving all day. The check in was quick. The hotel is clean. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family. ”

“When we arrived in our room, there was pee around the toilet and hair on toilet seat. It had not been cleaned. I immediately called front desk and she came right up and cleaned it. She stated that they had a new cleaner that day. They should have followed behind the new cleaner to check her work. Also my bed needed rechanged as there was a hair between the sheets. The front desk clerk took care of all of that and no other problems. Great front desk staff ”

“The Gadsden Hotel in Douglas is certainly one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Founded in 1907, it has room numbers hand-carved into its doors, a spacious lobby with polished stone pillars and stairs, a stunning stained large glass window with a landscape theme inspired by the Sonoran desert, misters that subtlely pump sweet spice scents into the air, and spacious rooms and public areas. If you are ever staying overnight in this border town, I definitely recommend a stay at this gem...

“We loved the claw foot bath tub and caretaker and his dog were both very friendly. He greeted us warmly as we arrived and was super sweet about us being late checking in. The room was comfy and we were able to rest up. The house is charming and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and light. Located close to all the good historic places we wanted to see. Thanks for agreat time and see you soon!! ”

“One complaint was our inability to be given a ground floor room in this building. We are in our 80's and there was no elevator. It was hard to carry our stuff up the stairs. The next day the manager explained that we had bought a category of room that was restricted to the upstairs and suggested that in future we explicitly request ground floor accommodations. In addition we were not provided with bath or dish soap, cloths to wash and wipe the dishes, or sufficient utensils. On the plus side...

“A 9/10. Especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet - it was exactly what we needed to set us out visiting and exploring. Thank you for the comfort and ease during our stay! The little frige, hair dryer, plenty of bath towels, bodywash, full bottle of shampoo and conditioner – and thank you for the toothpaste that I had forgotten!
