Turtle reception
After 30 minutes waiting at the reception, they didn't find my reservation and the Manager said "we don't know Hotels.com!!!!!". I phone Hotel.com assistance and a kind operator very fast he solve the problem and they gave me a room. The standards of the Hotel went down a lot, compare with the previous management Gloria Downtown. The Valet service same story......… you have to wait at least 30 minutes, better you ask to park and take alone your car from underground garage. Room are good but carpet need more maintenance. Location excellent near corniche, Mall, shops and clubs.

Buona esperienza, personale alla reception cortesissimo. letto ultra comodo, palestra funzionale e di buon livello. L'insegna luminosa dell'albergo trae in inganno in quanto si accede all'albergo da una via laterale e non e' facile capire dove.

Come a casa
Ho soogiornato al Gloria Hotel di Abu Dhabi 20 giorni di novembre con la mia famiglia, le stanze sono grandi ,l'hotel e' posizionato in un posto perfetto vicino a tutto. Il personale e' gentilissimo ci hanno sempre aiutato tutto il soggiorno, se passate da Abu dhabi andate in questo hotel siete a downtown e siete comodissimi per far tutto, vicino ci sono supermercati e tantissimi posti dove mangiare senza spendere una fortuna.

The pictures look very enticing but getting in the room floor has stains. Im not sure if they steamed it to get the dirt and stains. And then, I called a week prior to hotel reservation for a late check out but they still kicked us out. The hotel is very hard to find on google maps, or waze. When ordering food, delivery guys cannot also find the hotel.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Requested an ironing board and it was delivered within 15 mins. Room was clean and spacious. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

Owner was really nice, greeted us every time we came back to the hotel at any time. Very nice staff. One of my best experiences in a foreign country. They made me feel at home.

We had some issues that was not supposed to be in 4 stars hotel in abu dhabi where the standards are supposed to be a way higher .. the staff did their best to solve it upon request .. for sure it is not 4 stars hotel .. i would say 2 or 3 at most ..

For me this is a good clean hotel with nice staff. Happy with my room. My one big problem was the dreadful wifi, which was pretty much unusable.

Average Stay
lifts are very slow and some are not working. Reception staff is kind of rude in dealing. the internet is a mess in the hotel and in the rooms as well.

Pros: This is in downtown, so, everything is close, nice staff. Cons: This is a 3.5 stars hotel according to the US standards, so, don't except 5 start room, furniture, amenities, etc.

Timing issues!
This isn’t the first time I stay at the golden tulip and it was always a good stay. However this time, wasn’t very pleasant. First the AC kept working even though I put it off, and it read OFF on the screen. Second, the receptionist dialed my room number for a wake up call, that I did not ask for, at 6 am TWICE; first time they rang once and hang up (probably they weren’t sure about the number) then the second time few seconds after they called again til I picked up! But that wasn’t all, for some reason whoever is in charge of the WhatsApp business number seems to think it’s appropriate to send a WhatsApp message asking me to rate my stay at 5 am and then again at 6:06 am!

Affordable hotel room. The housekeeping was terrible. They didn't change the face towel for a week.

The hotel is in a central location, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was big, and the bathroom had a shower and bathtub. The room was somewhat clean, but the carpet could use a deep cleaning; the closet had a weird smell, not in a good way. I arrived from a very long flight earlier, at 12:30 p.m., but they asked me to wait until 2 p.m. so I could check-in. The Gym is good. The pool is on the roof, with no access to the elevator. You need to take the stairs for one and a half floors.

They don't allow more than 2 people to visit you like some sort of prison or COVID quarantine. They charge 35 AED per person for a person visiting you and keep their emirates ID/passport with them. Extremely rude staff. Never going there again.
