I’m honestly disappointed with this stay. I had high hopes but feel as if I were deliberately misled.
When I arrived to check in, it was so busy. I parked myself as there was no valet service. Parking in the garage was a nightmare.
When I arrive at the lobby, I’m helped quickly to get checked in. I’m offered an “upgrade” to a class of room underneath the one I paid for. Eventually the guy found me a room with a balcony.
The room was spacious with a separate living area and bedroom. However, the AC in the bedroom didn’t work. I called the maintenance and he came to fix it. When he fixed the bedroom one, the living room AC stopped working. It was registering more than 24C even though it was set on 20C. The man was condescending, telling me it’s working and it just needs time. The air would change to cool eventually. They left.
Next I went to put my belongings in the safe to find it not working either. By now, I’m frustrated. I’m tired from traveling to this hotel and things not working as they should. I go to the front desk and ask for a different room. A different man comes to help and tells me that there are no rooms. That I’m American and love the heat. So the AC not working shouldn’t be a big deal. He tells me he doesn’t have any room available. When I ask for a refund, he magically finds another room in my category. Why make me argue?
Now let’s talk the beach. It claims it’s beachfront. In fact, the beach is really across a 6 lane road behind a fence.
