Lovely characterful room, comfortable and spacious.Shower head was broken so we used it like a hand shower. Stairs are difficult for me but this was in the description. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place very quint If your looking for a king size bed try elsewhere Location is excellent as is the area around lots of places to eat but you do need to book at the more well known places.

The property really is partof the local history and offers lots of character though not the place if you want all mod cons.

Thank you for your review. Being a Georgian town house situated directly next to the castle, you are correct in saying that it is part of the history of Alnwick. As far as mod cons, I am not sure what you mean? However, we are well advertised and guests are well aware of Castleview’s facilities, including the antique Georgian furniture.

Lovely weekend away
Very clean, easy walking to everything around. Owner very nice and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay definitely be back next time we are around Alnwick

Castleview is in a great location with plenty of on-street parking close by. Tracey is a very personable and helpful host and the room was beautiful - a super comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Especially liked the view over the castle walls.

It was an amazing place to stay. Our host Tracy had everything absolutely perfect! It was like stepping into a story book. The breakfast was beautifully presented and so fresh and tasty. Our only feedback would be the bed was only a double size and we had a cozy couple of nights:). We would book again if we were back in the area. Delightful!

From the moment we arrived we had an exceptional experience. The hostess was excellent-the room was beautiful-perfectly situated for getting about the city- beautiful breakfast served to your room - lovely touches with everything you needed

Superb location (once we’d worked out where it was). Helpful host in Tracey who was most accommodating and breakfast was lovely and fresh. We would definitely return.

Lovely historic building, very convenient for central Alnwick and the Castle and very friendly and welcoming owner. Not suitable for those with mobility issues but this did not affect us.

Good stay
Great location opposite the castle and short walk into town there is street parking with owners permit, spotlessly clean room with nice touches and a good breakfast, very pleasant helpful owner.

Alnwick gem!
Lovely comfy and quaint 18th-century B&B right in the heart of Alnwick with great views over the roofs of Alnwick Castle. Tracey is a terrific host - friendly, approachable and cooks a mean breakfast.

The room was clean and nicely furnished and contained everything we needed. Tracey was very friendly and accomodating - breakfasts were good - she will make you whatever you wish.

Perfect long weekend
We had a brilliant stay - welcoming, cosy, comfortable and utterly relaxing. Breakfast was brilliant: lots to choose from, tasty and generous portions. This was just what we needed.

Tracey went out of her way to make my stay as comfy as possible. I stayed in the Duchess room and found it warm & cosy a fabulous view across the castle rooftops and a great ensuite . I had to come in during the early hours due to ghost hunting at Chillingham castle but this was not a problem also Tracey made me up a tray of breakfast bits & left them outside my door as i would miss breakfast completely downstairs so i could grab a few hours sleep! Great access to the beautiful town - i had a meal at the Dirty Bottles pub before ghost hunt which was a gorgeous steak. Access to the castle omg just a few yards to the entrance! Id stay here again in a flash. Thankyou Tracey and her adorable puppy Daisy xxx
