So glad we ended up here! We visited Amsterdam for the first time to celebrate our 25th anniversary. After reading guide books, watching travel videos, and comparing properties, we finally settled on this one and it turned out to be a great decision. Amsterdam is a super busy city. The city center (Dam Square) is always flowing with so many bicycles, tourists, street trolleys, and boat tours. This property is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute trolley ride away but is still in the heart of the canals. The particular canal it is on is very quiet but is completely beautiful. There are bakeries, restaurants and a trolley stop 100 yards away but it is still peaceful compared to the rest of the city. The buildings in Amsterdam are narrow and tall. We stayed in apartment 6 which is on the top floor. It does requires three flights of narrow, steep steps but that's the way most buildings are in the Netherlands. We LOVED coming back to the room every evening. It had tall vaulted ceilings, a cool european style bathroom, a tiny clothes washer/dryer, and a functional kitchenette. But the view! There is a sitting room with a double window that looks out of the canal and nearby river. Every night, we opened the window and enjoyed the fresh air and amazing scene below. Seriously, I don't think you'd find a better spot if you're wanting something convenient, comfortable, quiet and scenic. If you're OK with a few steps to climb, I think you'll dig this place.

Good stay at Amsterdam Canal hotel
The location was excellent. The size of the room big which suit my need. The bed is so comfortable My flight took 7 hours to arrive to Amsterdam and after this long time, the check in was in different area than the hotel which made me feel so tired. The cleaning service should be daily not every three days. The boiler was so dirty from inside.

Loved the location! So close to Rembrandt square and food shopping, dining etc. the building was great. Beds comfortable but the cleaning was definitely lacking! The floor was very dirty and no way to clean it. No broom or any cleaning supplies were there. Had to buy my own paper towels and dish soap. They did come with new towels and picked up the kitchen but you would think they would clean the floors while there especially when there is a pile of dirt that I swept up with a paper into a pile but they didn’t. I would stay there again but would ask for a thorough cleaning. Also there is No where to put your clothes. Only one small wardrobe with one tiny shelf and 4 hangers on it. It was fine, we just lived out of our suitcase but the dirty dusty floor was definitely kinda gross. Everything else was good.

Could hear every time someone would walk around on the floor above us. Pillows are too big and uncomfortable Great location, walking distance to a supermarket and cafes. Construction next door but wasn’t loud. If we were to stay here again we wouldn’t stay in the lower level.

There was a construction next door! The toilet flush was extremely loud. Location was great and the apartment specious. Housekeeping was only getting the trash out and new towels, no cleaning at all.

Fabulous apartment. I am a long term single traveler. So good there is washing machine which I can clean my clothes for my next destination before finishing Amsterdam. Also, I can cook myself breakfast and lunch to save some cost of eating out. Albert Heijn (supermarket) is 5 mins from the apartment which make it very convenience for grocery shopping. There is a flower shop at the corner as well. I can buy some flowers for the apartment as I stayed there for 9 nights and always good to have some fresh flowers in the house especially when I was in Amsterdam. Down side: - construction site next building. Do not expect to wake up late from Monday to Friday - close to the canal which provide fantastic scenery (so romantic both day and night) but also give you flies and mosquito

The property is well situated on Keisersgracht near to the Amstel river. It is spacious, especially the main living room, and well equipped. The main room has French windows which look out over a shared square of gardens to the rear which is a very pleasant and quiet outlook. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom very well equipped with a good combined bath and overhead shower. The kitchen has adequate glasses and crockery etc for 4 people. The stairs up to this first floor apartment are steep but bound to be so: that is the nature of canal houses in Amsterdam. The internal stairs up to the bedrooms are also steep, in this case a spiral staircase so this is not a good property for anyone with mobility issues. The furniture in the living room is comfortable and stylish. We found the staff to be extremely responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. The location of the property is wonderful: given the size of Amsterdam all places of interest are in easy walking distance. the trams and metro are excellent if needed.

The Apartments have steep stairs. There is no hotel staff to carry your luggage. We specially had requested help to carry our luggage. After lot of begging the hotel staff came to help. The whole attitude of the staff was disappointing. Else, the location is good. The rooms are spacious.

Stayed 4 nights at the end of April in the Rooftop Apartment on the 2nd floor. Let's start with the positives: - Great location. Everything, including Dam Square is a short walk or a short metro ride away. The Metro station (Waterlooplein) is also a 4 min walk from the apartment. De Pijp and other hip neighborhoods are also close by. - Room/ Apartment - The Size is great. In Amsterdam, where hotel rooms are tiny and expensive, this is a great alternative. The apartment was about 500 sq ft. - Furniture/ Set up - Overall the Furniture/ set up was pretty nice The Negatives: - It's on the 2nd floor and the building doesn't have an elevator. So if you're travelling with a lot of luggage, you're going to have to lug it up yourself. - Check-in: The check in happens at a different location (Canal hotel) which is owned by the same group. It's about 0.5 miles from the Suites. The hotel will provide you a cab though to get to the Suites after check in. - Deposit: They charge you a 500 Euro deposit while checking in. Note that this is not a *hold* on your credit card but an actual charge. They will refund it but depending on how the FX situation works, you will have to cough up the transaction fees and any negative changes in Conversion rates. - Construction next door - The Construction start at around 9 am on weekdays. So, if you wanted to sleep in, that's mostly out of the question. - Other minor details - the apartment has a washing machine but no detergent.

Construction noise ruins the charm.
Great location, canal views, spacious room, but the construction noise make impossible to enjoy it. Waking up by several workers hammering behind the wall is not a good start of vacation. For folks, who are out all day, it is irrelevant. I like to read a book on a rainy day after a museum visit, but hammering, drilling, etc. ruined my stay. The construction in the adjoining house started in summer and will go for many months.

The location of the apartment was great, within walking distance to eateries, the market and of course, coffee shops! We found that it was very easy to navigate the city! The decor of the apartment was great….for a small space we had a bath and a half, with a full kitchen (with all necessary utensils) We had the ground floor apartment (the hobbit apartment, because we had to duck to enter and exit) we were below everyone so we could here noise throughout the day and night! I slept well though! The apartment had heat but no air. It would have been nice to open the windows but I couldn’t see how and we didn’t want any other mosquitoes in the unit! I would stay again! Maybe the Hotel next!

Location was excellent. Property communication was also VERY good, extremely responsive. Place was spacious. The only issue was that only a 1/4 roll of toilet paper was left for me for 9 days, so I had to buy more myself. Also no bath lotion or dishwashing detergent was provided until I complained on my 4th day. It was provided promptly. The sponge left for use at the sink was old and used previously and no sink dish soap was provided. Shower soap and shampoo were provided but were an odd “pepper” scent which I didn’t care for. There were some mold spots in the shower and a cigarette burn in the canopy surrounding the bed. The bed and bedding were tremendously comfortable though. Overall my stay was pleasing because of bed comfort, location, space and smart tv for occasional news and Netflix.

Great location, lovely flat
Many shops, attractions, and restaurants within walking distance, and it's easy to get around the city from the tram stop two minutes away. The flat was beautiful, with more than enough space for two. Wine and chocolate awaited our arrival, and there were lots of different toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was comfy. I really appreciated the water kettle and teapot, as well as the capsule coffee machine. The sofa was a little uncomfortable, so I had to use a chair because of my back. I also missed a guide on how to use the hob/oven, because we haven't got a gas hob at home. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I go back to Amsterdam. I've posted a few pictures of the rooms and the view, but the lighting is really bad, so don't let that deter you. Just think of what it'll be like sinking into all those pillows:)

Wonderful experience, but know what you're in for
Quaint, romantic, reasonably quiet 7-unit apartment building in the heart of Amsterdam. Ideal for a romantic getaway and OK for a small family. Close to public transportation (metro, tram) and within 30 minutes walk from most major attractions in the city. Our apartment (F) had a living room with a sofabed (where our son slept), and a bedroom with a king bed. Major appliances included a refrigerator, stove-top, dishwasher, microwave/oven combo, and washer/dryer combo. Be aware of the following before booking: the place is not wheel-chair accessible at all and not recommended for people with hip/knee issues because of all the stairs. There are stairs leading up from the street to the main building door, steep an curving stairs leading up to the apartments, and even stairs inside some apartments. There is no elevator. There is no air conditioning. The apartments are small and probably not a good choice for large families. Don't expect standard hotely things: there's no front-desk or concierge, no room service, and very light housekeeping. You will need to check-in at a different location and get keys to the building and your apartment. Management will send you an email with detailed instructions and directions and you should make sure to read it. Management was very responsive to questions over the phone or email.

Beautiful location, but missed amenities of a mode
The location of the apartment could not have been better. A quiet residential area convenient to everything, overlooking a beautiful canal. The people working for the organization were exceptionally nice. The room was a bit crowded for 3 adults. Getting towels, toilet paper, and soap was problematic at times. The air conditioning did not seem to function properly with hot air blowing out the back where a duct taped vent had become disconnected. I missed the amenities of a modern hotel---with regular room cleaning and stocking of toiletries.

Great location
Very comfortable accommodation close to everything either by walking or tram. Fabulous French restaurant at end of street. Only “complaint” is no instructions on how to use TV (which never worked), microwave, phone. Only lighter for stove was empty rendering gas stove useless. Could have used more cutlery, cups. Check in very easy and lovely gift of wine and chocolates very welcome.

Localização.
Localização excelente, você vai a todos os lugares muito rápidamente. O apartamento é confortável e muito agradável. A recepção feita no Hotel, muito próximo, também é muito boa. Estavamos em três adultos e uma menina de 4 anos e ficamos muito bem instalados, com bastante conforto. Recomendo, fomos muito felizes.

A central apartment next to the Amstel
Lovely apartment right by the side of the Amstel. Take an eye mask and earplugs if you're a light sleeper as although it's a quiet street, the street lights and the sound of cars and bikes on the cobbles will bother you otherwise. Modern shower room and decently equipped kitchen, and we were grateful for the wine and chocolates when we arrived. this is a city for walkers and what seems like thousands of cyclists. Don't try to bring your car in as the parking runs at an average of 50 euros a night! Use the park and ride and take a bus or tram in - we paid 1 euro a night to park at the Olympic Stadium, but do remember to use the park and ride ticket lane on the way in. We enjoyed the Rijks Museum, a canal boat ride and the beautiful fountains between the Rijks and Van Gogh Museums. Do walk across the Canal bridges in the evenings - they are all lit up.

Huge Apartment, Great Location
The apartment was absolutely fantastic. Check in is at a local hotel not far from the apartment and then a free taxi takes you to the apartment. It is set over two floors with part of the ceiling in the one bedroom being the glass floor of the patio. The nearest tram stop is a two minute walk and from there you have easy access to the whole city. One place you must visit id the tiny french restaurant that you pass on the way to the tram stop..
