Beautiful Honeymoon Stay
Wonderful stay just north of Canaries. Great property with everything we needed and convenient to all kinds of fun activities on the west side of the island. I didn't rent a car with Marcus but based on the way his employees helped me out when my rental had a flat, I would highly recommend it. Great views from both balconies and from the pool/patio as well. Highly recommend.

The Villa was a perfect location for us to explore the north and southern parts of the west side of the island. It was not near the resorts and cruise ship crowds. The Villa had all the essentials needed for us or a larger group of people. The place was very clean and well kept. Marcos has a car rental company that made pickup and drop off super easy. He arranged for Uric to show us around the first day of our stay. This gave us an introduction to driving habits of the island. Uric did a great job of pointing out sights to see and how to get to the sights we wanted to visit later during our stay. Noah, our car rental contact, was an added bonus for a trip to the airport and was excellent in checking the car out to us and returning it. He was through and professional. Marcus's company, 'Island Rentals' is a small fantastic team of people who insured our visit was superb.

Winter break
Villa is in central location for exploring island. You will need a car rental if you stay here. Nice house with great view. Owner has a car rental business which we used with no problems. As other reviews say, roads are very rough and narrow and extremely curvy. Just driving is an experience. Road signage is also not very good around the island, but people are very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous villa
The villa was fabulous and had a lovely outlook. Marcus was very responsive when we had little issues. The only critism would be that there was no sun shade available by the pool and no outdoor table and chairs to eat at but overall it was fabulous

This property is a wonderful option for a quiet stay away from home. Marcus, the host, was very helpful and met our requests without hesitation. The grounds are well kept and the building is comfortable. Overall superb value for your money and this property can be rated as a must-stay.

Nice house with private swimming pool
We enjoyed out stay at Bocean Villa. The private terrasse and swimming pool were a great asset to us. The house is in a quiet area and well located as every main attraction is about a 30-minute drive away. Just know that the owner Marcus has a small office in the basement of the house. So there are days when you are not totally alone on the property. The employees were very discreet and we had no issues with their presence but I wish I had known this right from the start.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay. Marcus was the best. We rented a car from him. He also has an employee Noah that drove us to dinner in town one night as I wanted a few drinks and did not want to drive at night... we even treated him to dinner and he was super appreciated and told us about life in St. Lucia and how it was to grow up and what their customs were.. The house was huge and had everything we needed. Adelines cafe across the street had a great breakfast. Be sure to order prior day. Lots to do in St. Lucia. I suggest Orlandos for dinner one night. Do not worry that there is only a washer.... there is a drying rack and because of the breeze and warmth clothes dry within a hour or 2. Beds were comfortable. Marcus was a great host and had lots of insights to the island.

Great House for Family Trip
Our family of four plus an Aunt and Uncle spent a great week at this property. It has two bedrooms with large beds for couples and one bedroom with two singles perfect for a brother/sister. It is clean and well kept. The booking and check in process were easy. Marcus was very responsive and helpful. The location is great as it is sort of in the middle of activities on the island but closer to the Southern beaches and resorts which you can visit and utilize their beach amenities with a day pass. Driving is stressful due to curves and potholes but we embraced it as part of the adventure. Ended up being a great part of the trip. You can also have a driving service pick you up and deliver you back. All know where the Villa is. The water is solar heated and we had a good bit of cloud coverage so several lukewarm showers but again consider it as part of the experience. Did not bother us at all. One of the highlights of this home is Adeline’s Cafe across the road from the house. She makes a great breakfast and the best cakes and juices on the island. Will cook you dinner with a day’s notice. So friendly and welcoming. One thing to consider is to bring or ask for some wash clothes and to bring your own beach towels. We highly recommend the house and hope to stay again

Fantastic St. Lucia family vacation
We stayed at this archeturally creative villa for 8 nights with our 3 kids, aged 11,13 and 16 years old. There was lots of space for our family to spread out. The infinity pool was a great addition to this property and was well used The villa has a fantastic ocean view and a beautiful, landscaped yard. The location was central for us to go to the many beaches, snorkeling, hiking and restaurants around Soufriere ( 20 min) or up North to Castries area (45 min). Marcus was a great host, not only arranging a rental car to meet us at the airport and be picked up at 6am from the ferry, but also responded quickly to any requests made. The only thing to note is that the villa is a little more outdated than shown in the listing. It is missing the outdoor loungers and the outdoor furniture is old and broken. Also the couch is more dated and worn and different from the one in the pictures. We loved our stay at this villa and the people of St. Lucia were so welcoming and friendly. We recommend this listing!

Fantastic views
We truly enjoyed our stay at Bocean villa! Marcus our host was great and the car rental available with the villa was extremely convenient. Directly across from the villa was a lovely Art Cafe called Adeline's and she prepared the best breakfast and dinner we had while on the island. I would definitely recommend Bocean villa to any family visiting the Island! -the Charlemagne's

The house is large and the view is great and very quiet.The cafe across the street is very nice and they will deliver meals to the house.Mystic man does a nice sunset cruise out of Soufriere.

Spacious home with incredible view
The home is incredibly spacious with three large bedrooms, plenty of closet space, a great kitchen table and work desk, laundry and our personal favorite was the infinity pool. Marcus was extremely helpful and responsive as we settled in to the home and the island. Also especially enjoyed renting our car from Marcus, it made exploring the island very easy and low hassle.

Happy St Lucia
It was a very nice property at a fair price. You have to have a rental car and navigation to find your way to the sites, but the property owner is the rental company manager so it works smoothly. This is a rain forest island so bring mosquito spray along with sunscreen.

Great Valentine's week in St Lucia
Bocean Villa was the PERFECT place for us to stay during our week in St Lucia. Marcus was a great host, and we rented our 4x4 vehicle from him also. It was quiet and away from the tourist crowds- yet accessible to the resorts for dining or swimming. The location is pretty much in the middle of the west coast so that Rodney Bay/Pigeon Island is an hour drive north and Soufriere (The Pitons, Anse Chastanet, Botanical Gardens, Sulfer Spring Mud baths) is a half hour drive south. This gives you access to a wide variety of outdoor activities (hiking, snorkeling, biking, beach-combing, shopping and dining). A plus is Adeline's cafe across the street. Her breakfast treats were extremely delicious, and our Valentine's dinner of local St. Lucia delights were very good. Adeline and Roy were very friendly and welcoming with St. Lucia lore. The house is spacious, clean and positioned on a hill so that warm tropical breezes blow nearly constantly. The pool is a nice addition for a relaxing dip after a day of exploring. The A/C was great in the bedroom on the few humid nights we had while there. Double doors opened to a fantastic view porch off the bedroom and 2 double doors opened on the main floor to let in the tropical breezes. Marcus was very helpful arranging our rental car and giving us tips for a safe and fun week on the island. Yuric greated us on time at both pick up and drop off at the airport in Fort Vieux. FYI the roads around the island are extremely curvy, narrow (drainage ditches on either side) and a bit potholey. If you are in any way inclined to get motion sick, we recommend taking meds or getting a patch. My wife suffered almost daily with this. There are a couple of very friendly stray dogs that hang about the property. Cute enough to arrange to take home, but save a dog in your neck of the woods first. But they were so adorable. We visited in February and there were mosquitos around the island- especially on the beaches and rainforest. I did not seem to be affected, but the wife took home some pretty good sized welts- so be prepared with bug spray or wipes if you are sensitive to bites. Definitely a place we'll look to return to in the future. Especially the "Secret Beach" which was a highlight of our trip, private, good snorkeling and an adventure to get to.

New Years in St. Lucia
We had a great stay at Bocean Villa. Marcus was very helpful with suggestions. We rented a car from him, enjoyed three trips to Secret Beach, went fishing with a local Canaries fisherman, visited with Adaline (across the street) and she cooked our fish we caught. Great central location: we hiked Gros Piton, visited Marigot Bay, Anse Chastenet, Castries market, Botanical Gardens and Diamond Falls, Rum distillery, drove down the eastern shore, and relaxed around the pool. Great stay!

hillside retreat
This is a great house built on a hillside overlooking the Caribbean. The house is unique with lots of space and a nice poolside deck for relaxing. The different levels provide for many relaxing experiences. Though the house is sparsely decorated and furnished, it has all of the ammenities that you need for a weeks stay. Host is very helpful.

Wonderful House, Location and View
The house is located on a hillside outside the village of Caneries, with an Amazing view!! The house ideally located to all the main attractions this side of the island offers, which are all amazing! We spent an awesome week here two couples, exploring all the sites and scenes. The home is spacious and very comfortable with an Amazing plunge pool and unforgettable views! Marcus and his staff made us feel very welcomed and were very friendly and accommodating. You must rent a car if you are the adventerous type to see all the attractions on your own. Marcus is operations manager of Islander car inc. We rented a car 4x4 from him and were greeted at the airport upon our arrival by Urich, who is so friendly and welcoming. He escorted us to the house in Anse La Raye from the airport, which made the trip a lot easier than if we would have been on our own and we were greeted by Marcus when we arrived at the house. We loved being around the local people and supporting them. Adeline who lives down the driveway, across the road runs Adelines Cafe and Art Studio. She made a wonderful breakfast for us the first morning we were there and an Amazing traditional dinner one eve. Adeline uses all fresh ingredients, many of which she grows herself. Beautiful house with nice view of sea
Marcus, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a question or request, he answered the phone and responded to the request immediately. For example, we also rented a car from him and when the battery went dead, Marcus replaced the car in time for us to make it to dinner. The house is beautiful, clean, and fully equipped. It is an ideal home away from home.

Beautiful house, beautiful location. This is the wonder of St. Lucia
The villa is genuinely lovely, nestled on the hillside, with views over the ocean. With large airy rooms, and lots of balconies, you can relax and watch the changing faces of the Caribbean at any time of the day. The small pool is delightful for cooling off when required. Internally everything is comfortable, and offers the facility to be as self contained as you choose to be. Marcus is a kind and sincere host, who is always available should you need anything, but who otherwise respects your privacy and simply wants you to enjoy both his home and his island. There are few amenities in the immediate vicinity, but it’s a small island and, assuming you have hired a car, Castries is only about forty minutes away, and there are supermarkets within 30 minutes. There is, however, one place quite literally just across the road - Adeline’s Art Cafe, which is delightful and serves wonderful iced tea and fruitcake! Adeline will also cook for you if arranged in advance. For anyone looking for a location outside of the hectic hotel areas, this is the spot, and neither the place nor the house will disappoint. We loved it here and would stay again should we return to the island. Jean and Mike

Absouletely Wonderful Stay
Marcus and his staff, Kendall, Urich, Bootey and all went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We rented a car from Marcus and traversed the island. We found the best place was Bocean Villa. There is a secret beach very close by. We used the 4 wheel drive to get there. It is somewhat rough and fun. We went every morning of our stay. Private, private, private. The snorkeling phenomenal! A secluded cove. Crystal clear water. Marcus introduced us to Adeline who lives at the end of the driveway. She cooked basically every night for us and it was very delicious. We ate all kinds of fish (snapper, tuna, blue marlin). All was very private. If you are looking for peace, relaxation and privacy away from the crowds of the cities, this is the place. Mary and Andy

Amazing views!
Marcus was a wonderful host - he was always on call and very responsive, and gave us the privacy we needed. The house was huge and the view was incredible. We spent hours watching the light change and the clouds move over the sea. The plunge pool was a fabulous bonus, and soon the garden will be full of fruit trees. We were a short drive away from several snorkelling sites, and there are some very good restaurants nearby. The house is very imaginatively designed, and we are very grateful to Marcus, Kendall and Bertie for their kindness and care.

Beautiful Views!
Marcus had everything we needed and guided us to anything we were lookong for! We look forward to seeing Bocean Villa when the pool is complete! It was so helpful that Marcus has 110 and 220 volt plugs throughout the house so we didn't need out adapters! Enjoy your stay!

Michelle and Husband were really great guests, I do hope they come back again sometime so that they can enjoy the pool. I highly recommend them to other hosts.
