Room was quiet. Mattresses on beds were uncomfortable - i woke multiple times with numb legs/hips. Food was ok but dinner was not homemade (I appreciate it was quiet and perhaps not economically viable). Breakfast was fine and a packed lunch was provided at an extra cost, which we were pleased with.

Value for money in lovely old building
We had a room for 2 which was small as you’d expect but with comfy bunk beds, thick duvets and it was nice and warm on a cool evening. Powerful shower off our room plus shared toilet nearby in the corridor. All very clean. Breakfast was tasty. Friendly staff. Nice pub directly across the road. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location on the Pennine Way
Great location on the Pennine Way and good services and facilities. Slightly characterless common room though and welcome was less than friendly on arrival, otherwise I would have given an even higher rating.

I'm glad you could still give some positive and honest feedback on the service and facilities though and hope you'll consider us again in the future.

Walkers hostel
Good hostel with decent food and facilities for walkers (e.g. Washing machine, drying room). Opposite the pub which is handy although they do sell booze too.

Good friendly Hostel
Arrived early and though reception was closed I was still able to get in and make myself a pot of tea ( honesty box system) and sit in the garden making friends with Harvey the Hostel dog. Large and comfortable lounge area, good showers, helpful staff and good basic food. Pub just across the green. Overall excellent.

Nice hostel. Extras not included.
Bunk bed room. Lovely walks around hostel. Have to pay to rent towels and for tea and coffee.

Brilliant concept, great beds.
A group of 5 guys stayed there and they were very happy with the bunk beds. We rented out the whole room so there were no strangers sleeping in the room and the price was amazing. We have already booked the beds for next year
