La doccia non funzionava. Il personale poco gentile. La lampada non funzionava. Stanza buia e bagno con lavandino troppo piccolo

Possibilmente da evitare!
Camere minuscole con materassi antidiluviani a molle sporgenti, bagno lillipuziano, personale poco sorridente.

The views are stunning. however this hotel is in severe need of updating. The carpet in the rooms was warped and old, the telly is serviceable but the WiFi in the room is non-existent so you have to make do with council telly. the bathroom was naff, loose wiring and exposed earth cable to the light. massive damp patch when coming in the front door on ceiling. doors dont close just kinda bash about in the wind. the outdoor seating area has brilliant views but you have to buy a beer then go outside, then walk down slopes and over grass to get to it! the area around is really sad with a lot of closed shops. some are open but most arent. the slanj has seen better days. Village Inn is better and has a nice choice of ales. the choice of beers at Arrochar was poor. nothing scottish. Carling (yuk), Caffreys,Guiness and Staropramen. I didnt bother ordering. no local beers at all. when approaching the reception the two staff were bickering about a previous guest for a good minute whilst i sat there and just waited for them to finish their conversation. on the whole. I paid £45 for a naff room so should i complain. well i wont be back. it was meh. very below average. it had a bath and was dog friendly. that was good

The staff at the hotel are really helpful and friendly but the property itself is somewhat tired and in need of TLC. In contrast to many reviews, our room with a Loch view was well presented and well equipped. However, the floor in the bathroom is uneven and there is evidence of a leak from the floor above, by the window. It is such a shame that there has been little investment as the location is outstanding, staff are great and the facilities are good. We had a great breakfast and the bar area is welcoming, if dated.

Easy to check in and check out. Food was tasty, and reasonably priced for the style of hotel/restaurant. Parking is easy with parking at the top or bottom of the hill, and an entrance either end. Staff were lovely and facilities were good. I would definitely recommend.

We thought the greeting , after a very long tiring drive in bad conditions was awful. No smiles , no pleasantries and rather grumpy and at breakfast they only wanted to remind us that we owed them £10 each. Not an uplifting experience but everything else was fine

Very comfortable accommodation. The staff were lovely and the loch views were breathtaking. I would certainly recommend. Both the evening meal and breakfast buffet were a 5/5. Lovely gateway away for the weekend for those looking for something peaceful.

Right on the loch. Beautiful countryside. Very good restaurant, restaurant and bar staff very good. We had a fine time.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay most enjoyable only one slight problem kettle in room was a hazard as not enough sockets therefore was quite dangerous other than that i would fully recommend

The property will not suit some categories of travellers as the building is old and could do with some tlc. However, the food was good and plentiful although i would have liked to have seen Lorne sausage and fried eggs on the menu but i am sure had i asked for a fried egg one would have been cooked for me. Entertainment on Saturday night was quite good. Rooms could do with a bit if modernisation but otherwise it was fine. I am sure a lot if the hotel's bookings come from escorted coach tours. The view from the front of the hotel is amazing. If it were any closer to Loch Long you would get wet from the waves.

Stayed here 5 years ago but sorry to say it has deteriorated. Shower was cold. Too many steps to reception for older guests to negotiate. Staff very friendly and eager to sort out any problems.

Avoid this hotel at all costs, they lie blatantly, refuse that any problems exist and just want you to leave when you complain, bed like rock, tv and Wi-Fi useless but the management are the worst part. Keep an eye on Facebook for pictures.

This property had big bath sheets instead of towels which was nice. The single room was a generous size for a single so made travelling with a large dog easier. However, what wasn't easy was the fact that we'd been allocated a room at the end of two long corridors on the second floor, so not particularly dog friendly in that respect, especially when carrying luggage. Another dog owner had been allocated opposite us so that presented another challenge that could be avoided. The showstopper for me was the plumbing on the second floor was atrociously loud, the toilet cistern was running water constantly throughout the night. I gave up trying to sleep at 5am and checked out at 6am without staying to discover if the prepaid breakfast portion size, food temperature or service were any better than dinner in the bar.

Great location on the banks of Loch Long. Hotel is a little dated and bedrooms could be updated. Staff need to tell guests when breakfast is about to finish as some new arrivals paid for their breakfast but didn’t get any hot food as it was taken off the servery a couple of minutes (and bang on the dot) just after they sat down. Staff could also be a little more flexible on seating people in the dining room. Entertainment was good and bar prices very reasonable.

Most reviews are accurate…
It’s fair to say this hotel has seen better days and some elements are really in need of upgrade-eg bathroom. Room 211 is very tight altho I suspect other doubles are slightly larger. There was some noise and disturbance from our next door neighbour which was frustrating and a lot of guests with dogs so doggy noise too! On the other hand food in the bar was fine (not many other choices around) and staff were friendly and helpful.
