Pool was so cold it was unusable. Staff received complaints from many guests and was apathetic. There are better accommodations elsewhere for cheaper. If the pool is the reason you are booking look into The Crimson.

Hi Traci - I apologize for your less than stellar experience with the pool. While we do strive to keep our pool quite warm (typically around 30C), there are times when we have to fill up the pool to replace water loss due to regular use. This water comes in quite cold. Unfortunately it means that the temperature of the pool drops and slowly warms over the next several hours. We will endeavour to have better timing with our regular maintenance of the pool area, along with better communication from our staff. We hope to see you again in the future - with warmer water in our pool!

I did not like that the pool was so cold. I could not even go in it was so cold.

Hi Tammy - I apologize for your less than satisfactory experience with the pool. We go out of our way to try and keep the pool very warm, though when we have to refill it, it can take quite some time for that amount of water to heat up. We hope to see you in the future, at which time you can experience the pool with warm water as it should be.

Very pleasant staff. Easy check-in. Clean and comfortable room. A few restaurants and stores are within walking distance. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The room was too noisy. We cannot sleep for whole night. The heater, fridge and doors of other room were too noisy. It was not relaxing stay. The price was too high if we compare all above.

Property had all the things we like about a great place to stay. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, great wifi, very comfortable beds. However to our liking the pillows were just a bit too hard. We really liked the fact we could walk downtown for shopping and dining. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay at the High Country Inn again.

Stayed here for a few nights. Got a room with a mountain view. Much better price compared to other hotels in town. The building is a bit old and the decorations are out dated, but comfortable stay. We enjoyed the swimming pool, hot bath and sauna. Most hotels in town don't have sauna. It's on the uptown area so needs a little bit walking to the shopping or restaurants, but we didn't mind it. Parking was underground, which is very convenient. Definitely recommend this place

Noise was the issue we had with this building. It sounded like you were staying in a room at somebody's house versus a hotel. The amount of noise outside of our room and above us was horrible that we had terrible sleeps and had to call the front desk at midnight to complain about the people above us that were stomping around. The door was very poorly sealed, large amounts of light could be seen and conversations in the hallway can sound as if they are in your room. Our neighbors had guests come by in the morning at 7:30 and just simply knocking on the door across our hallway and talking sounded as if it was in our room. The room was nice as were the staff so the excessive noise was unfortunate throughout the night.
