Reception often closed!
The hotel is in a very good position, in the room you can hear a lot of noise from the other rooms and corridor. The check in was bad, there was nobody before 10.00 to speak with the hotel employees because reception was closed however the check in guy was very nice and helpful when the reception opened. Some other employees were very rude! Also the reception was closed in the evenings and some other customers had troubles because of it.

Deludente soggiorno a Barcellona
Abbiamo prenotato un soggiorno di 3 notti in questo hotel, ma per la cifra pagata a notte i servizi sono stati molto deludenti: bagno piccolo, lavandino di 20 cm x 40 (impossibile lavarsi la faccia), no bidet. Inoltre siamo stati dotati di un solo telo bagno a testa. Le pareti della stanza molto sottili non impedivano ai rumori di entrare. Mancavano anche gli armadi per appendere i vestiti. Unico comfort della camera era l'aria condizionata. Non lo consiglio.

La posizione dell'hotel è ottima, a fianco all'Arco di Trionfo e a molte attrazioni turistiche (casa Batllò, Pedrera, Sagrada). Peccato per la scarsa pulizia nella camera e nel bagno, peccato per l'aria condizionata non inclusa nei servizi standard (visto che non è molto economico il costo a notte). Peccato perché all'arrivo in hotel alle 2 di notte siamo rimasti fuori dalla porta per mezz'ora non riuscendo ad entrare con i codici assegnati dallo staff dell'hotel stesso: purtroppo la camera prenotata online era stata sostituita (senza avvisare) con una camera ad un altro numero civico. Peccato!

La struttura si è mostrata negli standard, la posizione buona, niente di ché in generale. Non abbiamo constatato niente di molto negativo ma neanche qualcosa di eccellente. Un alloggio nella norma per chi non vuole spendere troppo e si accontenta del basic.

Hotel in centro dalle mura finissime
Albergo situato in centro, a un minuto dall'arco di trionfo e a 5 da placa catalunia; servito da bus davanti alla porta e dalla metro a 300 m circa... perfetto per chi vuol visitare Barcelona. Le camere sono modeste, ma non manca niente alla fine, la pulizia giornaliera è buona, il personale è cordiale anche se disponibile solo dalle 10 alle 22, dopo tale ora si entra con un codice... quello che da fastidio è che le stanze, essendo state ricavate da un palazzo vecchio, hanno pareti finissime... si sentono anche i bisbigli degli altri e viceversa, inoltre si sente passare la metro e quando accade le pareti vibrano lievemente. Se non si considera questo.... Per il resto è perfetto.

Non immaginate di trovarvi in un albergo!si tratta di un appartamento al primo piano di un palazzo con otto camere, i gestori vi consegnano le chiavi del portone del palazzo, della porta di casa e della camera e si deve essere autonomi a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte.non conosco le altre stanze, ma la numero6 è davvero piccola, senza un armadio dove poter riporre gli abiti, e senza nemmeno il letto...la rete ed il materasso erano poggiati su 4 mobiletti bassi tipo comodino posti ai 4angoli della rete, ed ovviamente al centro del letto c'era un avvallamento. Il bagno è privato in camera o meglio, è il balcone della camera senza alcuna tenda alle finestre, che abbiamo dovuto tappezzare di giornali per evitare sguardi indiscreti dato che l'affaccio era nel cortile interno del palazzo. Un ultimo appunto:zero pulizia! Ho alloggiato per 6giorni, le asciugamani sono state cambiate una sola volta, le lenzuola mai. Non è mai stata fatta una pulita alla camera, la signora addetta a rifare le camere sistemava il letto ed andava via. In compenso Barcelona è stupenda!!

Ottima Location
Hotel ricavato da un appartamento in stabile d'epoca. Stanze ristrutturate di recente, bagno doccia dotato di tutti gli accessori, come pure la camera con possibilità di prepararsi te/caffè. Personale molto cordiale.. Attenzione agli orari della reception!! Personale non sempre presente.. (valido solo per check-in)

Property was very central so accessible to everything! Staff were very helpful and kind. I don't think my bedsheets got changed or the pillow cases.. There were some marks on both.

Zum Übernachten ok, kein Luxus.
Also wer nur ein Hotel nur zum Übernachten braucht, ist damit gut bedient. Altes Stadtwohnhaus etagenweise umfunktioniert zum Hotel. Das Zimmer war recht klein und relativ neu, wenn auch spartanisch eingerichtet. Ich habe einen Kleiderschrank und einen Kühlschrank vermisst. Von Zimmernachbarn habe ich kaum etwas mitbekommen, vom Stockwerk darüber konnte man allerdings alle 15 Minuten die Standuhr einer alten Dame schlagen hören. Im Brustar Gotic ist die Rezeption eher selten besetzt, im Brustar Centric gegenüber (Hausnummer 60) aber durchgehend. Ein paar Hausnummern (43) weiter gibt es bei Rent your bike einen netten deutschen Radverleiher.

The hostal is an old bulding feels dirty and smell bad, the bed is unconfortable the only good thinks are the is well located and at least it has private bathroom, but for the same money you can stay in a hotel outside downtown.

Nothing special about the room, the high price is because of the location (center of the city and the tourist area). + Brustar Gotic was very helpful with a payment problem we had. + nice people + clean enough bathroom - the rest of the room not so clean You should also keep in mind that you can hear the metro but it stops after 24.00. Not the hotel's problem of course, but if you have a lot of trouble sleeping, this is not for you.

Overpriced
Room requires renovation. For that price we've paid and quality we've got, it's overpriced I would say. Location is pretty good: not far from metro and city center. Communication with the owner is good: you can get the response pretty quickly. Bed is very uncomfortable. Unstable WiFi connection.

Sorry to hear that the bed was not comfortable we just renovated almost all mattresses, about the WiFi unfortunately it is very Unstable connection provided by Movistar the Spanish Company and that is the reason we do not charge for WiFi

Rommet mitt var trangt og lite. Dårlig luft. Det var ikke ekstraseng som forespeilet. Wc var helt løst. Dusjdør kunne ikke festes. Pære i lampe virka ikke. Håndklevarmer virka ikke. Synlig rust på varmeren. Dette var ikke bra til den prisen. Fint uteområde, rett ved park. Forholdsvis kort til havet og Down Town.

Not what it claims
I needed a bed for two nights during tourist season, and the location was just right. I should have read the reviews, because this is *not* a hotel. This is a hostel with no service. Air-conditioning was broken, the place is a run-down conversion of what used to be a flat, access is complicated with doors locked by codes, I was greeted by an envelope despite not being late for 'check-in', and they managed to over-charge me, too. I got a bed and a quiet room, that's all.

Horrendous
Dirty sheets and pillowcases Shabby room dirty walls and crumbling ceiling; I was worried it would collapse on me. The shower was unreal - super duper- wow with radio light etc none of which worked!! The shower tray had several holes in it covered up with gaffer tape. I could not get any programs on the tv nor could the receptionist, she said that she would get her colleague to look but he never turned up- also bearing in mind that there was only limited reception anyway.. If you continue offering hotels like this on your website I will consider moving elsewhere. Not impressed. I have photos on my phone if you require evidence.Most unpleasant.

Great location and nice room BUT...
Very nice staff, decent clean room but with inadequate soundproofing and it is in a run-down building with graffiti on the front door. (hotel is on the second floor). Excellent location close to several metro stations and to the Arc de Triumph and adjoining parks.

Beautiful room in a beautiful building in a beautiful area! This is the second time we've stayed because we liked it so much the first time. They recognised this was our second booking and upgraded our room as a result. Very friendly and helpful staff! Thanks for making our stay so nice, Brustar!

Hotel By The Arc de Triomphe
The hotel is located very close to the Arc de Triomphe which is a good meeting point. The hotel was accommodating when I needed an additional room for a relative that decided to join me at the last minute. There are several properties on different sides of the street. Both have elevators, and the suites have a microwave, and refrigerator. Beware of some of the locals who live in the buildings, they don't necessarily embrace tourists. But all in all it was a pretty good experience.

Not a 3 star hotel
For a 3 stars hotel I expected a little bit more. I stayed for close to 2 weeks and at least the face towel was never changed. Kettle was not working. Air con was malfunctioning. 3 start hotels for EU are considered those which provides: Reception opened 14 hours,. (even than there is a sign that there is personel from 10.00 up to 22.00 that was not true) Internet access in the room or in the public area. (very poor reception via a small access point hanging from the reception door) Heating facility in the bathroom, hair-dryer, cleansing tissue (air con not working properly) Sewing kit, shoe polish utensils, laundry and ironing service (none) Additional pillow and additional blanket on demand (none) Systematic complaint management system (did not see one)

Hotel was in a building that was shared with a hostel and what appeared to be local residence so it was a bit odd. The hotel occupied rooms on the first and second floor in a way that appeared as if they just took the rooms they could get and rented them out as they could. Our room was plenty big enough with a balcony overlooking the street. The shower did not drain well and would overflow into the rest of the restroom. We notified the hotel and were told they would address the issue the next day (it was almost 10pm when we notified them) but it never seamed they did anything to address the situation. Other than the slow draining shower everything was ok

Do not stay here..even for the price, not worth it
I would not stay here again. Actually, I wanted to leave when we saw our room. We flew into Barcelona at night. There was a note at the door for us to go to their other location Brustar Centric. When we got their the receptionist was leaving for the night. She said they had emailed us earlier that day to not only change our hotel (without consent), but that they have limited administration time (10am-10pm). If we had not run into her, we would not have been able to get inside the building, nor into our room for the night. The room is small, but I really questioned the cleanliness. We were only given one towel for two people, so we had to share a towel since we couldn't call anyone for another. The hotel in itself is super old. I normally don't mind older buildings as long as there is maintenance. Our second day there was a power outage. I guess this happens often since there is a sign that says to not use anything (sink, shower, toilet). Reception didn't open until 10am and we needed to get ready for a tour, so we ended up using moist towelettes we brought for a "quick shower." When we came back we realized that the towels we placed onto the floor to be changed out was hung back into the rack (to be used again). For the 4 days we stayed there, our towels were never changed out. I could only imagine how the sheets are never washed. The only thing good about this place is it's location. I would say it's centrally located. Everywhere we went was within walking distance.
