Non mi è piaciuto: Pulizia
Avevo una camera matrimoniale e ho trovato peli e capelli ovunque: sulle lenzuola, sugli asciugamani, sulle superfici, nella doccia. Tremendo. Ho lasciato per diverse mattina il cartellino in cui chiedevo di pulire ma non l’hanno mai fatto

Location was ok, requires a bit of walking to reach city centre. However, the staff were great and the hostel is quite comfortable with each individual bed having its own privacy/ blackout curtains. Great place for an overnight stay!

Did the job and bed was clean and comfy. Very small room. No TV. Husbands shower was cold. Could have been cleaner and finished better

Great value for money
Very small room, but the bed was large and comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Clean, easy check-in and bag storage.

I had a bad experience with Selina; though the staff was great and helpful, yet I was unable to sleep there because the booking was done wrongly (it was for a female room while I am a man). I booked the room on the same night of my stay but I wanted to cancel due to this mistake, I was informed that I cannot because it was "past the cancellation date". The assistance from expedia was great and helpful, but I still did not get any progress in canceling my reservation. I have all the information and I would be grateful if expedia would work on resolving the issue especially that I have received an email earlier today from Selina indicating that they cannot do anything regarding the cancelation DESPITE earlier commitment that they will "work on it".

Detailed Review
Since this was our first time in the UK, it felt great to stay at selina and i would especially appreciate the idea of common kitchen. They had a very clean room and a living area, the whole place was cosy and the staffs were friendly too. Apart from this I had very few issues such as the kitchen was a little dirty, water to wash the vessels in the kitchen was too hot and on the last day there was no water for an hour.

Friendly staff, clean property and room and generally a nice experience. Very reasonably priced too. The only down side is that the room had no ventilation or windows you can open. This meant my sleep wasn’t great. But for the price, it’s a decent option

Overall not what I expected
The walls are thin, when anyone walks pass you can hear everything. From 9am there was people talking in the corridor and felt like they was in the same room as me. Staff are lovely but I never booked the place for the staff. On the walls in the room there was some type of dirt water or food splashed. There was also dust on top of the picture in the room.

Spacious but spare room. There was a hairdryer, no iron or tv, which was fine by me. My only complaints are that the mattress could have been better and the hanging space was not long enough for dresses. All employees are interacted with were extremely helpful, nice, and polite. One warning, they have a small cafe/ bar, but the didn’t accept cash for anything.

Great little bolt hole for all you need in Birmingham. Had a private room so can only comment on that. Was a bit warm but clean

I stayed in a dorm, the water was hot. The room clean & quiet. The staff very friendly & helpful and the cocktails made by Mat were delicious (including the Mocktails).
