Hotel was closed when i got there they offered a alternative or a refund, opted for a refund and still haven't had my money back.

Worst hotel ever
We went to the hotel to be turned away and sent to another hotel which was called the royal windsor hotel. We had to get a taxi to it. The bed sheets were covered in blood stains, in which the manager told me the sheets were last changed on Sunday 5th December. And our stay was on Sunday 12th December. The hotel was filthy and we require a refund.

Run down
Brill location, short walk to main attractions. Bathroom light didn't work, told staff member nothing was done. Old fruit shoot bottle down side of bedside draws. No lamps either, asked for one as no bathroom light (wanted a nightlight as we had a baby with us) was given one but then didn't use as it made a crackly noise. No kettles in room, told we can use communal boiling water station in lobby, fine but the jugs provided were still half full so obviously used and not cleaned out. Not ideal when you need the boiling water to make bottles for your baby. Luckily we had own flask full. One positive was it was very warm in the room.

Absolutely disgusting. I read the bad reviews thinking a) it can’t be that bad and b) it only needs to be a place to sleep.

Won't go back. Check hotel thoroughly before visit
Didn't even enter the building. It was locked up like a building site with only a security guard who told us we had been moved to another hotel. We went to the Royal Windsor. It looked alright when we first entered but that gave us a false impression. The rooms are badly needing total upgrades.

We had a great time staying at this hotel , nothing was too much trouble for the staff who run it very well , the rooms were clean with laundered bedding ....it was a friends wkend away and we were made to feel very welcome ....many thanks Sarah and Steve

Really bad. Should be locked down. Its rotten. Linen was clean. So noisy walls paper thin. Moved after one night.

It was horrible, the room had ripped curtains you couldn't call it a double, it had dirty marks on the wall. there was one towel one cup and no toilet roll. When we asked if the bar was open they said there's not a lot left. the window to the front of the hotel are disgusting

Clean tidy and helpful
The hotel is clean and tidy , lots of hot water which is great . It is an old hotel but the beds are very comfy and esp with covid times the rooms are clean. There is a hot water machine with teapots so it’s so just great as you can take extra tea if coffee and make as much as you like and there are quite a few of them so really easy to get to . The receptionist Sarah is just lovely , so helpful and made us certain we would return again

Very friendly staff
I found the staff very friendly & welcoming. I had my JRT with me & she was made to feel welcome also. She did make friends with the lovely little Jacky-Pom Bailey, who was behind reception. I really enjoyed my short stay & would consider going back next year. Thank you New Osterly for making us both feel very welcome,

Basic rooms, but nice host.
Sarah the host was lovely and friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. A mistake with room was soon sorted. The hotel rooms in need of a refurbishment as rooms look like they have seen better days, but was ok for a couple of nights stay.

Disgusting service and disgusting people absolutely vile place rooms are disgusting really dirty checked out the second I checked in and be careful asking for your money back because they will call the police.

Room was ok but dirty bed sheets & curtains didn’t fit window. Location is perfect. No mention of price for bringing a dog until we arrived and was charged £10. Check out on this site is 11 am but 10.30 am in hotel.

Very basic room, I know they say you get what you pay for but the bed sheets were dirty, the quilts on the twin beds were different and didn’t match, there was the base of the kettle but no kettle only one mug which was chipped and the other was a plastic cup. Great value for the small nightly charge.
Friendly staff checked us in and guided us to our room which was spotlessly clean. Tea making facilities were available in our room and tea, coffee, milk and sugar were provided. Fresh white towels and soaps were laid on our bed for our use We also had a television in our room which was unexpected considering the modest charge. The hotel was located just behind Blackpool Tower and a large parking area was available nearby at extra cost. The little welcoming touches added to the enjoyment of our stay. Pets are also very welcome.

Not Open & Uncontactable: Transferred Elsewhere
I didn't end up staying at the hotel. In the fine print, I was advised to call the property to arrange a time to collect the key - I called 7 times the morning of my booking, only to have the call repeatedly forwarded to a number that disconnected me each time. I had no other choice but to book into somewhere else as both the New Osterley and Hotels.com were unreachable. Later in the day, I was sent a text advising me that the New Osterley was experiencing problems with the sewage system (?!) and that my booking had been transferred over to Las Palamas hotel - in South Shore. The location was miles away from the area I had booked into and needed to be in for an early morning coach. The only positive that I can take is that they tried to find me somewhere else. I think that it's disgraceful for New Osterley to still be on the booking system at Hotels.com if there is a problem with the property AND zero way of contacting them. I wasn't expecting bells and whistles for the price, but I did expect to be able to stay where I booked. As the booking was non-refundable, I lost the £16.99 I paid for the night and had to pay a further £21 to secure accommodation elsewhere (Chaplins, Albert Road). By all rights New Osterley should have offered me a full refund immediately if they couldn't host me or a novel idea, they could stop taking bookings if they can't provide what they're listing. Utterly disappointed with the experience over all. Such a shame as it's had some good reviews.

There was nothing to like as i was moved to a sister hotel that was miles away from the original place, this incurred extra costs to me and my partner for trams and taxis, also stated free parking at both places but was charged for this as well. Place was an absolute dive, disgusting and filthy. To make matters worse the rate i paid for the original room was higher than the cost of the sister hotel and i still had to pay for the parking!! Worst night ever

Pet friendly, right in the centre.
You get what you pay for, its not the grand but neither is the cost, we had comfy beds and hot showers, all we needed, right in the centre of Blackpool, we chose this hotel because we had a small dog, the charge is ten pound per night for pets, a little excessive, but yes I would stay here again, the staff are very friendly and helpful too.
